Well with regard to Amanda wasn't Gio alleged to have made a comment on her partners sexual ability now he was paralysed?
Also didnt Karen get caught up in a backstage bullying row with Ola?
With Steve Backshall I can really see James sidling up to him, mocking him and saying something like 'you are this adventurer who goes round the world and you are saying you are being bullied by a 5ft woman?' and intimidating him to drop it

I dunno, Amanda is still out there slagging him. She’ll be on Lorraine this week and might say more. I can’t imagine he’s enjoying that, even with his Beryl Army.
I’m a bit shocked that Amanda says he gave up on teaching her as they weren’t going to win. How demoralising. Definitely makes me wonder about his attitude to Richie - I assume it’s more post-Rose arrogance

I thought Amanda was doing really well in the show up until she pulled out, so it does seem a little strange that he would say that.
I never bought into the FR nice guy act though, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he was being snarky and dismissive towards her.

There is still a hard core of Beryls insisting “that dancing is tough and they should not sign up unless they are willing to put the work in”. However, the tide does seem to have turned and more of these comments are being challenged in most of the channels I have seen online.

If there is an investigation/legal case going on against Gio, how come Amanda is allowed to be giving interviews stating her side of events? It makes me think that no evidence has been found against him.
She has said she isn't allowed to talk about details of the case. Having said that, Gio's stenographer, Katie Hinde, is claiming he's 'on the verge of being cleared'. Doesn't tally with the Sun story that BBC execs told Amanda his behaviour was shocking.
As part of the BBC probe, several professional and celebrity dancers were asked if they witnessed any incidents of Mr Pernice bullying Ms Abbington, 52. All of them are understood to have said no. A source familiar with the investigation said: ‘Giovanni has seen everything levelled at him and he has been able to refute all of them. He is awaiting the BBC’s verdict now but as far as he is concerned he has done nothing wrong and there is no evidence to suggest he has.’

I wonder how this also squares with Laura and Ranvir's accounts. Apparently the verdict is coming this week.

If everybody who had a negative experience is speaking out, I'm very interested to hear what Danny John Jules has to say.
His issue seemed to be with the show rather than Amy if I remember correctly. He said something along the lines of he was hired to do a job and just wanted to get on with it and didn't like filming all the extra bits like it was a reality show. It seemed like he could see through a lot of the bullshit and had some fair criticisms of the show. Amy's ITT interview on her own after they left was very strange though, she seemed quite upset.

Thanks for posting the article, I couldn’t access it.
I don’t really understand how the verdict is due this week. I thought the hiring of solicitors meant it was going to court. Is it just down to whether the BBC clear him of bullying? And if they do, does that mean he could return to Strictly?
Questions not just directed at you OP :)

I hope they announce a replacement for Graziano soon and it isn't FR rejoining the line-up...

I don't think it's going to court. Presumably the lawyers for the women will want some kind of settlement from the BBC if it's established that they have been negligent. I cannot imagine Laura or Ranvir (Ranvir in particular as her name has only been brought up a few times) wanting any court case.
I really hope he's not cleared, but there may well be no proper evidence. There's no way he's coming back anyway. He's got his tour, his Bellend-o classes, his perfume..

With all that is going on with Strictly I can’t see Gio wanting to go back if he is cleared and they asked him. If he is cleared, he can take his career in a different direction and away from Strictly. I’m pretty sure this was going to be his last year had he of stayed.

The Gio comment was reported here at the time it came via FB from a family member it seemed legitimate.

I'm starting to worry the longer it takes to announce the new pro that the BBC are holding that space for Gio. It would suit the show to have him vindicated so they can manipulate the public into thinking all (with the exception of Graz) has been a gross exaggeration like some sort of Pro witch hunt.

Somewhere in my memory I think Brendan told Fiona Phillips that she must be a terrible shag because she had no rhythm.

It was words to the effect of “You must be a crap shag, your hips don’t move”.

Rudeness aside, I was pretty shocked that the BBC merrily showed the clip. But this was the days of ‘cruelty tv’, when the likes of the X Factor encouraged audiences to hoot uncontrollably at people being told how shit they were at stuff.

Antons comments are inexcusable. I'm early 40s and know full damn well how offensive that word is. Knew it in the 90s, know it now. It was widely used in the 80s and 90s for aggressive racism. People from India and Pakistan suffered awful racism during that period (that word, dog shit through door etc). People seem to have forgotten that.
