Yeah, the idea that she would have to go to the police rather than management is quite extreme, and just another way or undermining her and Zara. 'Oh if it was that bad why didn't you go to the police, eh?'

If production staff heard Graz scream at Zara and did nothing that is appalling and speaks to a culture of fear there. And Graz is far from the top of the cast-list - presumably FR was even more untouchable, especially after Rose.

I also don't understand the idea that Gio thought the show was rigged against him so gave up - he was given a good, tenacious dancer (albeit one with a difficult public image). They were doing well and could have made the final. What did he think: 'it's rigged for Ellie [at that point we were in week 3-4 when Ellie did an unconvincing samba and was far from the fave] so I'll jib it'?

she DID notice the graz story but i think thatā€™s purely because the bbc themselves led with it. most of the gio stuff has passed her by, as will a lot of the rest. if gio did come back, a very large majority of their viewers would just go ā€œoh there he isā€ and settle down for saturday night.

Same with some friends of mine.
They enjoy Strictly, we chat about it when it's on, and then they forget about it until the next time.

As Amanda pulled out of Strictly (rather than being voted off), she will have probably lost most if not all of her fee. And TBH, when this all started, I assumed she was attempting to get some of that lost money back from the BBC. Because sheā€™s not so busy / high profile as an actress that she could afford to lose work (very few are).
Which isnā€™t to say she hasnā€™t got a genuine grievance, I donā€™t know (although I suspect she has, based on what Iā€™ve seen of Giovanni). Itā€™ll all come out in the wash, I guess. But it doesnā€™t look like there was a ā€œsmoking gunā€ in Giovanniā€™s case (like the video evidence in Grazianoā€™s case), so the investigation is bound to be a bit more challenging.

Yeh, so prob going for loss of earnings, maybe.

I thought her dancing was very, very good.
I really thought she could have got to the final.

I would say your mum represents the majority of viewers, and I do think these news stories from Gio to Graz to the other 'unamed' pros, will wash over most of them.

When I first started (half) watching in 2016 and 2017, I paid absolutely no heed to the pros at all. To me, the celeb was the complete focus of the show and the pro was just the teacher who showcased them. I honestly never even looked at them in terms of a partnership.

It was only when I got properly into it the following year and started to read DS, that the pros took on their own personalities for me - but I still was puzzled why so many posters put so much emphasis on them and their perceived popularity.

Hardly victim blaming.

When the video came to light of Graz slapping, kicking and spitting at Zara - the producers should have gone straight to the police. Instead - he's been papped out and all she's getting is sympathy.

Similarly with Amanda - there seems to be some issue with accessing the videos but if they reveal the same behaviour - it's a police matter. Especially as Gio has already been patched.

For Lilia - she was probably under pressure to accept an "apology" and move on.

Times have changed.

With everything that's come to light - she can progress this possibly in the way she wanted all those years ago.

There are guys who wander through life getting away with stuff for a variety of reasons. This needs to stop. RIGHT FECKING NOW

As was shown with Ant's drink driving conviction, the only thing that embarrasses them is legal cases.

So yes, Gio, Graz and Anton need reported to the police.
 
Has Oti been mentioned as the possible female pro yet? According to The Mirror, itā€™s a ā€˜household nameā€™ and Oti seems to pop up on everything these days. Sheā€™s never denied the fact sheā€™s a bit of a taskmaster. Maybe itā€™s more than that behind the scenes?

I think you could describe them all as household names due to being on prime time BBC1 every Saturday. How many households could name them is different
