Someone needs to go through every series of Strictly and find the '"contestant wasn't happy story"

I'll go first

Series one - Natasha Kaplinsky complained her toenails fell off due to training. The BBC forced her to do the show and she also said she tried to break her ankle so she get out of it.

Series two - brendan Cole said his partner Sarsh Manners was a ladette and it was like dancing with a brick wall. She says he was right to be strict but there are ways to be more supportive.

Series 3 - Brendan again!!! Fiona phillips says he looked at her like something he'd stepped in. And he's filmed ranting at the cameras.

I've said several times on these threads - I've no idea why so many of you think this is just a fun Saturday show. It's been gladitorial since the very beginning.

Series 4 - Brendan once again, apparently wasn't accommodating for Claire King and her arthritis. And the aforementioned Georgina/James saga.
Series 5 - Stephanie Beacham's exit speech said it all. And Lilia had a miserable time teaching Dominic Littlewood.
Series 6 - This was quite a fraught series, think a few of the early boots had a bad time and John Sergeant got vitriol from the judges each week.
Series 7 - Total sh*tshow - Laila/Anton racism scandal, Jade's injury, Lynda Bellingham didn't like Darren, Rav Wilding got flak for Aliona's choreo etc.
Series 8 - Goldie was bitter about going first, and Tina O'Brien had one of the worst pros ever on the show, plus a bout of chickenpox.
Series 9 - Lulu.
Series 10 - Johnny Ball slammed Aliona/the show, Victoria Pendleton didn't get on with Brendan, Fern had issues with Artem, Sid Owen got thrown under the bus and seemed unhappy as well.
Series 11 - Rachel Riley & Sophie Ellis-Bextor have both spoken negatively about their experiences on the show.

I half remember it, that was after he totally fucked the timing in the Salsa, right?

On one hand I don't blame her; she could have broken her neck if he'd dropped her from some of those lifts. On the other hand, she's only got herself to blame for choosing such tricky ones. I definitely think she goes a little overboard with pushing celebs sometimes, though I would hope she wouldn't be guilty of bullying.

I think it's a little more likely to be Nancy or Karen, but who the fuck knows. After the Graziano revelations, maybe it's Amy or Jowita.

I dunno, Amanda is still out there slagging him. She’ll be on Lorraine this week and might say more. I can’t imagine he’s enjoying that, even with his Beryl Army.
I’m a bit shocked that Amanda says he gave up on teaching her as they weren’t going to win. How demoralising. Definitely makes me wonder about his attitude to Richie - I assume it’s more post-Rose arrogance

As a general point, there is the likelihood that we’re going to see some former contestants (and maybe pros) coming forward with any vaguely questionable experience on the show just to be part of the narrative and gain a bit of media coverage (e.g. Jayde & her pubes).

The press are desperate to keep this story going, so they’ll be ringing around anyone they can think of who might want to air a grievance in exchange for a bit of cash.
 
What Graz did was awful. Gio has had a number of former contestants come forward and the BBC appear to have mishandled the situation. The senior people of Strictly do need to take responsibility.

The Anton issue - what he said was unacceptable, but, he did apologise at time and as far as Im aware hasn’t made any other slurs/comments since. Where as it appears Gio and Graz were spoken to and yet they carried on behaving the same.

The female pro, I could be wrong but reading between the lines of the article, the person has more of an issue with how the BBC dealt with things than the pro.
