Sigh, another FR story, in the Mirror this time. He expects to be cleared, he met BBC last week, apparently the claims Amanda has made weren't in the evidence shown to him as they'd already deemed them bogus??

This sounds a tad implausible: clearly it comes from his PR/lawyer in response to the Sun article. How can the BBC just decide that him being verbally abusive to her didn't warrant him responding?

God if he is totally cleared the Beryls on FB will be insufferable.

I could be wrong but I don’t think it’s any of the current female pros and the mirror put a line under the photo of the current pro they have in article saying something along the lines of there is no suggestion the person is in the current line up.

Re Amanda if Gio is cleared and Amanda is saying things to the press that aren’t things she put forward as part of the investigation is she on dodgy ground for defamation of character?

Well that's why I don't think it can be true. Her lawyers will have warned her. I think he's just trying to muddy the waters - it's not like we'll ever find out the exact truth. If the verdict is inconclusive he's got his narrative out there.

Also, she's been saying most of this from the start: verbal abuse, sexual comment, stamp on foot. I don't know how the BBC can have dismissed this out of hand. And what about Laura and Ranvir's claims?

I agree. I don’t think Carter Ruck would have taken the case unless they felt it was viable: they’re going after a very high-profile target in the BBC/SCD, and a loss would mean some very public reputational damage.

Why did they then couple Graziano up with Annabelle for the tour if tptb already knew about him?
Is the tour Craig's baby, as such? And he has said he knew nothing.

Graziano would have been on his best behaviour I would say. Taking over from JoJo, and I remember thinking aww so perfect. And that's one of the many things that chills me about what has come to light. The fact that he could be downright abusive to someone he saw as being in a weaker position than him. I bet anything he didn't try any of that shit with Kym Marsh, for example.

I think The Leg would have ended up his arse if he’d tried it with her.
Most definitely.

Yes I don’t think Graziano would have dared to treat Annabel badly. Also on the tour they wouldn’t have been on their own, there would have always been others around. Men like him don’t show their real selves to the world. That’s reserved for people they think they can control and abuse. I think most people see the mask he wears which is very convincing 🐶

Nice bit of victim blaming 👍
Tbf though Amanda is an accuser not a proven victim like Zara.

Just because a middle aged woman makes a claim and it’s about someone who does not come across that well does not mean she’s right.

I see them BOTH as problematic characters and it’s possible it was more of a clash. I could be wrong.

I hate the BBC pile on. There are always bad apples. They do need to review the show but at the end of the day it’s still great viewing (as long as no one is suffering because of it).

Whilst it’s all falling apart Carlos is continuing to live his best life and is hanging with Angela S and her family ❤️

Speaking of the tour I was just sorting some things and found the programme. How quickly things change Graziano 🤨

Yeah, the idea that she would have to go to the police rather than management is quite extreme, and just another way or undermining her and Zara. 'Oh if it was that bad why didn't you go to the police, eh?'

If production staff heard Graz scream at Zara and did nothing that is appalling and speaks to a culture of fear there. And Graz is far from the top of the cast-list - presumably FR was even more untouchable, especially after Rose.

I also don't understand the idea that Gio thought the show was rigged against him so gave up - he was given a good, tenacious dancer (albeit one with a difficult public image). They were doing well and could have made the final. What did he think: 'it's rigged for Ellie [at that point we were in week 3-4 when Ellie did an unconvincing samba and was far from the fave] so I'll jib it'?
But Gio didn't mind at all the year that it was 'rigged' for him to win with Rose. Not saying that Rose's win was rigged but if that's how he sees it it implies, to me, that he believes it was rigged for him to win every year he got a contender but not with Richie and he clearly thought not with Amanda.
Did he really think the whole of Strictly revolved around him, every year?

Zara seems to like portraying herself as a victim. I haven't watched her in anything else but Strictly. However, I read that she has made 3 documentaries and in all of them she seemed to be portraying herself as a potential victim.
