Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively

I’m joining in the dislike - both of them appear to think too much of themselves.

Blake is very much out of touch. The only thing keeping her relevant all these years are the elaborate outfits she parades in. That’s all she’s got going for her. She obviously thinks she’s sort of an icon, having surrounded herself with the likes of Gigi and Taylor. But as it seems, the less she talks, the better - otherwise it becomes clear very soon that she’s really not that great.

Ryan Reynolds seems like a guy that was once told he’s funny at a party and he never let it go. His lame attempts at humor combined with an air of self-importance make me physically noxious.

I have no opinion on the current stuff (except that she is insanely tone deaf about the DV subject of the film, but about anything else if the entire cast cut Justin out, then I cannot imagine that he was blameless), but I find it highly concerning that Ryan seems to meddle in all her projects since they got married. Seems extremely unhealthy.

They won't want to bite the hand that feeds them (Blake) and will want to be in the sequel so will take her and by extension Ryan's side as they are the bigger stars. If the sequel goes ahead then it will be a while but if it doesn't then I bet they will all be singing a different tune in a year or so.

I did really like these two but massively disappointed in BL and how she’s spoken about this film.
DV is a topic close to my heart as a previous victim and the way she is promoting this film as a rom com is so so damaging to all the work every single advocate has done for DV victims.

And the thing is, she’d have probably got a lot more respect/likability points/PR (whatever her actual aim is) in speaking up for DV victims.

There obviously has been something gone on for them all to unfollow Justin however his interviews have been great from a DV advocate side of things. I know there were issues with the writing/RR taking over/different cuts etc and Justin seemed to have his ideas railroaded so the issues could actually be this, but I haven’t looked into this further.

There's honestly loads! I really would recommend it if you're interested. Basically the whole movie cast and Coleen Hoover unfollowed and avoided/don't talk about Justin and there are rumours his persona and his characters' became one and the same when they were filming. Also he says a lot of the right stuff but his behaviour doesn't really reflect it. Loads more detail and nuance on the podcast though.
Reckon that could just be them wanting to ride on the bigger 'star' coat tails and take a side? This is Hollyweird after all and she seems the type to make people choose by playing the victim while actually acting as the aggressor. I would bet dollars this is more likely the case.

I've explained it badly but I would recommend the podcast for a different perspective.

I think Blake is trying to copy Ryan's humor style but as much as he's an irritating cock, he manages to do it without being outright insulting to anyone. The way Blake is sitting and talks in that interview where the guy asks her what she'd say when people who resonate with the movie and have experienced DV want to come to her and talk about it is so bleeping disrespectful, her PR people must be DYING

The guys face next to her too. He looks fed up

I'm really starting to wonder if she's deliberately avoiding discussing the topic of DV on any significant level, in case she says something that sets people off speculating about her own marriage?

Like, Ryan doesn't strike me as the type, but you never can tell and they do try way too hard to convince people of how happy they are.

I wonder if she dances around the topic and detracts from it constantly because it's closer to home than she's prepared to let on?

DV goes hand in glove with mental/emotional abuse too (and this 'domineering' vibe Ryan is giving off lately makes me uncomfortable) so there wouldn't need to be a physical element in her own relationship for her to feel dangerously close to the subject matter and be scrambling to avoid going too deep in the discussions about it all.

Hate to speculate in that way, but I really cannot understand why else she would be acting so flippantly about such a serious subject.

She’s just stupid and has probably never read the book

its odd isn’t.

Someone commented on her post where ryna interviews her co star something along the lines of

‘how tone deaf to have your husband act like a controlling jealous husband in an interview to promote a movie about DV’.

im surprised her team havent limited comments, i hope they dont think its a case of any publicity is good publicity cause this aint it.

i am seeing a lot on tik tok about the crew speaking up on Justins behalf and how great he was to work with.

the rest of the cast probably assumed that the public would take Blakes side in the smear campaign so they aligned with her and how that has backfired now 🤣

I would like to think if Justin did do something terrible to cause all these issues with the case then they would come out and confirm but at the moment it just seems like a smear campaign without proof just lots of people planting stories of his so called behaviour without actual proof.

I read one thing that apparently she was upset because he ‘fat shamed’ her when he apparently requested information from a trainer on set or something regarding her weight and how to lift her in a scene and he had a back injury before

Unless he phrased it in a rude way, then that's a blatant twisting of his words to smear him.

Lifting a full grown adult is not easy, and Blake is a tall woman. If he couldn't lift her properly and safely it could injure them both.

I'm not saying I'm a big fan of these two but the most recent 'Shameless' podcast gives a good look at both sides of the 'it ends with us' stuff.
I listened to this and they make good points. It is quite odd that so many people are dismissing the fact that so many of cast/crew and Justin’s podcast co host have turned against him. And blaming Blake’s side instead. That’s not me denying she’s annoying but he must have done something IMO. Also v interesting point about the bots that will push peoples opinions one way or another.

Blake calling a woman fat and then going on with another actress to try a belittle and humiliate her is exactly what I'd expect. Although I wouldn't expect her to do it in on camera.

There was another clip this week of her and baby spice. The most contrived showbiz fake interaction. Ick. I feel vindicated for thinking she's not quite that lovely bestie type.
