Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively

This pair act so entitled.

She's done this crap Colleen Hoover story because she wanted to play some hippy florist character and wear the characters weird clothes. I doubt she cares much for the actual (problematic) themes of the story.

They're a pair of crap actors who have to flog their side brands (booze, beauty products etc) at every opportunity. They know their acting careers won't last another 5-10 years - they don't have the range required for roles at those ages.

Theres just an undertone of nastiness with the pair of them really. Its bizarre to see them treat their costars and interviewers with such an air of disregard.

I recall a interview Ryan did on Graham Norton and Toby Jones was also a guest, Ryan was very dismissive of Toby on the show and at one point rolled his eyes at a story Toby was telling about his marriage,

it wasn't until Graham mentioned Hunger Games and showed the character Toby played that Ryan's attitude towards him changed.

They definitely seem like people who are interested in status, career and social climbing. Would look down on someone until they hear they're rich/famous/accomplished and then would be all over them.

Can't believe that twit got to meet the King!

I find them insufferable. Full of their own self importance and Ryan is clearly uncomfortable with her having any level of success near his and has to be involved, their constant joking between them is just tedious now and his incessant need to highlight how attractive and amazing she is - I think it's more about him showing he can pull the hot cool girl than anything else. I always thought he was gay tbh. He's moderately funny for a few films then exactly the same in every single one after that and never knows when to turn it off. She's just mediocre all round.

Could you bottom line it for us? I got enough podcasts in my life
There's honestly loads! I really would recommend it if you're interested. Basically the whole movie cast and Coleen Hoover unfollowed and avoided/don't talk about Justin and there are rumours his persona and his characters' became one and the same when they were filming. Also he says a lot of the right stuff but his behaviour doesn't really reflect it. Loads more detail and nuance on the podcast though.

I feel cleansed by this thread. 😅

Sweet mother of fuckin Jesus Ryan Reynolds has always got on my wick. So smug, so beady eyed, so in love with himself, so under the misapprehension that he's some great wit.

Have never had much of an opinion on Blake Lively beyond thinking her acting range is verrrrrrry limited. But seeing all the tiktoks of her doing this film promo have been crazy to watch. She thinks she's coming off as sassy and insouciant and everyone else is looking at her thinking she's a tone deaf moron. Her PR people must be in meltdown. It shows how quickly a celeb's image can go down the toilet when social media is involved. Love it!

She seems really unpleasant. Doing this and on a woody allen film too

Absolute cunty mean girl behaviour. All she talks about at the moment are her ugly floral clothes yet here she acts as though it's demeaning to be asked about costumes in a period piece. And the way they talk to each other and try to freeze the journo out. Cunty. Parker Posy can get fucked too.

Okay fair enough maybe he's annoying, but all these videos coming out of Blake clearly being an asshole seem to outweigh it.

this is all very similar to Topher grace and that 70’s show . Everyone made it out like he was the problem because everyone else was friends behind the scenes, and we saw how that turned out… he was the only decent guy without drama out of all that.

the cast of gossip girl are still friendly and follow each other yet and none of them follow Blake ( apart from one i think)

It seems like he was the only one on set that seemed to want to take this project seriously, he bought the rights to the movie and it was his movie and then you have ryan reynolds coming in and trying to throw his 2p around.

If Blake wants more control on a project, then it’s something she needs to work on and not try to take it from someone else.

I have no opinion on the current stuff (except that she is insanely tone deaf about the DV subject of the film, but about anything else if the entire cast cut Justin out, then I cannot imagine that he was blameless), but I find it highly concerning that Ryan seems to meddle in all her projects since they got married. Seems extremely unhealthy.
