Oh I’m so glad this thread exists
I admit that I used to like the both of them, or at least I didn’t find them offensive, but I feel like this whole situation has really opened my eyes. I find it funny that it’s not going the way that they clearly hoped.
Justin Baldoni has dedicated years to speaking out on breaking down barriers on toxic masculinity, embracing feminism, supporting women, etc. I acknowledge most of Hollywood is false, but if his determination to draw attention to these things is genuinely false, then I guess he’s a good actor
I think Blake and Ryan thought as
the Hollywood IT couple that the public would automatically jump on board whatever smear campaign they started and cancel the individual. Some of the things they’ve been leaking are so stupid. And then they don’t even have the sense to hide things that make them look terrible, e.g, everything Blake has ever said since the start of this promo tour, including admitting that Ryan likely crossed the picket line in the writers strike (timing unclear on that but it looks likely) and that he rewrote scenes without the screenwriters knowledge, in a project he wasn’t even
bleeping employed on. Since when does shagging someone mean you get to take over their workplace?
Anyway, loving that they seem to have bitten off more than they can chew
I do truly believe that the IEWU cast thought Blake and Ryan were untouchable and sided with them, in the hopes it would serve them well further down the line
