Liam Payne #5

Yeah, I'm not sure of what he said as I haven't watched it, and refuse to on principle because I don't want to give Logan any clicks. But lots and lots of 1D fans and even Liam fans on the internet say they were disappointed with him, didn't like what he said and so on. So maybe it was a wording issue, not sure?
I haven't watched it in its entirety either, just shorts others have shared. Deffo agree maybe the wording though from the parts I've seen. I think we'd all agree whether it's a speech, phone call or conversation we've all at some point not come across how we intended, and that's not being streamed to millions of people 😕

I saw a clip on tiktok (I know, but it wasn't edited!) of Louis on another guys podcast saying about the one Liam did, he said he hated the Paul brothers and that they more or less took advantage of Liam. The person doing the podcast with Louis had said mean things about Liam too and Louis told him he should apologise to him if he saw him again, it was quite sweet of Louis to stand up for Liam like that. So I'd like to think the other boys in 1d felt the same way as Louis and had hopefully privately reached out to him. I'm sure I read that Liam reached out to Zayn after it and he spoke publicly saying he'd always have zayns back

Liam was generally very open, candid and honest in his interviews and radio appearances. There are pros and cons to that of course. The pros are that it makes him more interesting, likeable and relatable. But then the cons are that you might say something that is misinterpreted or phrase something in a non-PR way that you can get criticised for. In my mind I always compare this aspect of their life to Harry, who's very successful but it's at the point that he's a PR machine. I can't watch interviews of his because he's so dull. Well maybe it's not that he's dull but his responses are so PR crafted that there's no life and depth to them. Compared to that Liam often gives very excited puppy energy and sometimes blurts things out that he shouldn't have. I ultimately find him really endearing for that though because it's how people really are (especially those with ADHD) and how most of us who aren't celebrities sometimes act.

I saw that clip too and it made me a little emotional ngl. That Louis was so protective of Liam like a big brother and didn't appear to have been offended or upset by anything Liam said, I will always respect him so much for that. He understood that Liam was in a bad place and that he was shamelessly exploited for clicks and drama.

Overall, does he say anything that unsavoury on the Paul podcast though?
At the start of X Factor, he was supposed to be the leader. Nicole herself even suggested so, and Simon went so far as to question whether he should remain in the Solo category. None of them went into it expecting to suddenly be capulted to mega fame as a boyband, all of them auditioned as Solo artists originally.
In hindsight it'd be easy to feel bitter that you've essentially traded your original goal to join a boyband as the leader, and are soon eclipsed by your band mates. Is it the right thing to feel considering the financial benefit you've had from this? Maybe not, but an easy conclusion to come to considering he was plagued by personal demons at the same time.
And Zayn, he was between a rock and a hard place after what may have been a lot of whiskey. Yes in hindsight he could have worded it better, but I think he did well to remain neutral to say he still supports Zayn whilst not condoning what happened between him and Gigis mother.
I feel like jealousy as an emotion always gets such a bad rap but the truth is, we can all feel it at certain times. It’s a natural feeling and yeah it must be really hard if all the other band mates were doing ‘better’ than you. And it’s not something other friends/family members would maybe have been able to relate to, so he probably felt quite alone with it.

If you look at kids films and books etc, the baddie is often ‘jealous’ and I just think jealousy as a whole gets shown as such a bad thing when actually people probably need to learn to deal with it better rather than pretending it’s not something we feel. It’s how you deal with it that counts - for example if someone is going through a difficult break up, and their friend is getting married and seemingly really happy. It’s only natural to feel jealous, but it would be wrong to try and spoil it for the friend because of feeling those emotions.

That was a lot longer than I intended, hope my point came across :ROFLMAO:

Really nice to see Louis defending Liam on that video.

I wonder though if Liam was actually jealous of, say, Harry’s success? It’s possible Liam knew he wouldn’t be able to deal with that level of popularity with his addiction issues and the hate he was getting. I could be wrong but the vibe I get from Liam is that he missed the sense of belonging to something bigger than himself rather than his own potential for mega popularity per se. It just seems he was very lonely and I’m not sure being more “successful” would have solved that, it could have actually made it worse.

Hotel manager charged in Liam Payne's death
The hotel manager and receptionist where Liam Payne died have been charged in connection with the star's death.
New documents obtained by Page Six show the employees at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will be charged.
As yet it's unclear what they are being accused of.
The documents name receptionist manager Esteban Reynaldo Grassi, who called 911 moments before the former One Direction star fell to his death as being involved in the singer's demise.
Gilda Agustina Martín, the operations manager at the hotel is also named in the documents.
A judge has called for the two parties to be notified of their charges.
"Since there is sufficient reason to suspect that they have participated in the investigated act, we ask that the following people give a statement," the documents said.
Both Grassi and Martin will appear in court on 19 December.
On 17 December, waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz and Uriel Alejandro Astengo are due to appear in court after being accused of supplying Liam with drugs.
Liam's friend, Rogelio "Roger" Nores, will also appear in court, facing charges of "abandonment of a person followed by death."
After they have been questioned in court, a judge will determine whether they'll be prosecuted, dropped from the case, or if there is no evidence for either decision.
Liam died after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires on 16 October. He was 31.

I think Harry's Love on Tour era was the closest any of the 5 of them have gotten to the One Direction days. If I was Liam I'd definitely be a bit jealous. I'm sure it had its down periods too (all those lonely hotel rooms they so often talk/sing about) but the 1D tours looked SO fun from all the documentaries, what a thrill walking onto that stage singing, messing about. One can only imagine. So to see one of your bandmates doing that by himself, that's got to sting a bit :/

Just watched the armchair detective on TikTok. Video of a blurred out Liam moving in floor where umbrellas are. Looks like he was moved from one position on the decking to further along.

I don't follow uk music often since I left the uk, I'm a k pop fan and wow that is a very toxic environment to be in, it's 7 years since a lead singer of one of the most popular bands killed himself and wow the way the hate has grown in the industry since then all over the world becuase of social media, I'm surprised we don't see more of it 😭

His body being moved on the floor? Don’t believe it, it’s probably fake.

I haven't seen it but have unfortunately seen photos of him on the deck. Either they moved him or they moved an umbrella. I assumed the umbrella had been moved but the base was definitely in one shot near to him and in another shot it wasn't there.

Did anyone see the recent bbc boybands prog, seeing Bryan so damaged smashing up his awards?

Anyway, he must be in such a terrible way and crippled with issues. I can imagine he finds the whole industry and especially boy bands themselves extremely triggering. So why anybody would take what he says as bible is sadly miss-guided IMO.

Feel really sorry that his life became what it is and he hasn’t fought his demons successfully.
Brian from east 17? I acknowledge he's likely got his own demons but apparently he's been known to exploit younger people trying to make it in the industry

I’ve seen the pics too. I think it’s more likely the base was moved as it’s possible he hit it on the way down and it needed to be moved to allow more access to the body. But I don’t think there’s anything conspiracy about it though.

Yes I agree. I even read the other day that his head had hit a concrete umbrella base whether that's true or not who knows. Poor guy.

We’ll probably never know for sure. I guess the only consolation is that he died instantly and it doesn’t appear that footage of the fall itself has been leaked. Yet.

Giving it further thought, if he was moved that would be apparent visually
because of the blood pooling 😢 and the disruption of that it would be obvious.

Yes, thank goodness it must've been instant.

The Armchair Detective was banned from Youtube for harassing Shan'ann Watts' family.....the guy is a fruit loop! He's saying Liam had dried blood in his ears and was already dead when photographed laying on the couch, looking at his laptop screen  ....
