Liam Payne #5

1
What I find most disturbing is reading the Liam Payne thread #1 on here, where people were taking the piss out of him, his looks, his obvious addiction, his failure to make hit music after 1D - and then he died and suddenly everyone was crying. I so wish Liam had been arrested in Argentina, maybe sectioned, forced into rehab, instead of his story ending in such a tragic way.

There are literally hundreds of threads like that on tattle. He was no different to anyone else in the public eye with a tattle thread. They just aren’t dead (yet - as in, nobody knows whose life could end suddenly).

I doubt it was those posters crying anyway. But it’s possible to criticise or cringe at someone’s behaviour when they are alive but still find it a tragic waste if they end up dead.

The bloke on the Harsh channel, is on a live with East 17's Brian Harvey  ....who is smoking a spliff and saying Liam was murdered and chucked off the balcony.......and Simon Cowell had something to do with it! So, Liam is seen on camera at 4,56pm in the foyer. At 5pm, he has passed away. People in the comments are saying Liam was beaten up until he died, then thrown onto the decking......without a mark on his face????? With no defensive wounds on his arms???? What a load of bull!

Brian Harvey ran himself over and blamed it on eating too many jacket potatoes lol I wouldn't listen to anything he says to be honest

The massuse who was one of the 3 people who carried Liam to his room also gave an interview to TMZ. I've put it behind a spoiler just incase as it isn't nice to imagine 😕
Daniel recalled: "We picked him up and a blonde girl employee told us to take him to the room. It looked like he was having a psychotic episode.

"He was convulsing, foam out of his mouth. There was a moment where he stood up and we took him through the hallway he was trying to go somewhere else but they were guiding him. I didn't go into his room but I saw it was a mess."

Someone on the last thread berated me for saying the hotel had failed him and that obviously I didn’t have any experience with addiction 🙄 (my brother has been an addict for nearly 15 years so I am extremely well versed sadly) but if what the masseuse is saying is true, convulsing, foaming at the mouth! Then he should never have been left alone in the room. I know there may not have been a doctor on site but here in the UK at most places of employment someone would be trained in first aid and they should have been called upon and he should have been placed in the recovery position in the lobby when he first collapsed. Seems to me he has been either completed disoriented when in the room himself and went over the balcony or he has tried to leave via the balcony, slipped and fell.
I haven’t watched the interviews and doubt I will. I think TMZ are disgusting in their integrity and morals and the never take into consideration any family when they do their reporting. All this misinformation being reported is perpetuating matters and they are feeding into all these different stories and theories. Let the man rest. Let his family have some peace. Let him have some dignity for the sake of his son.

Edit: and Brian Harvey can duck off as well

Did anyone see the recent bbc boybands prog, seeing Bryan so damaged smashing up his awards?

Anyway, he must be in such a terrible way and crippled with issues. I can imagine he finds the whole industry and especially boy bands themselves extremely triggering. So why anybody would take what he says as bible is sadly miss-guided IMO.

Feel really sorry that his life became what it is and he hasn’t fought his demons successfully.

It's crazy what the industry does to people...I can think of more band members that have had to go to rehabs than from any other industry. Even going back to take that, spice girls, s club 7, blue...the list goes on. Yeah probably about half of those people have made recoveries but there's so many others like Bryan Harvey that just get dismissed as being a waster when they weren't like that to begin with. It's sad. Definitely more needs to be done to protect these people

I've only watched half the YouTube live and I'm not clued up enough to refute or agree with the timing discrepancies etc that Brian is claiming but what stands out to me more than anything is the need for a full and clear investigation. 🐻 needs to be able to grow up with as little of this hanging over him as possible, even if the truth is hard to hear when he's old enough, he deserves the truth, not speculation that goes on and on over and over.

I feel so sorry for Brian Harvey, he’s obviously very unwell and needs help. Sadly though people will point and laugh instead of having compassion.

Unfortunately Liam was badly affected by the hate he got. There's a show he did in Africa with Ant Middleton in 2019 where he confessed he had considered suicide several times due to relentless hate he was getting and that it just wouldn't stop. Is it little wonder then that he just spiralled further and further when that's the kind of thing you see being said about yourself day in day out, year after year? There was even a disgusting twitter trend about 2 years ago that blamed everything on Liam, i.e. 'there was an earthquake today, blame Liam' and then they'd post a screenshot of having blocked his account. I'm sure the people doing it thought it was banter but I can't imagine the effect it would have had on him. And he was aware of this, there's a picture of him out there that he took while watching the 2022 England-Spain game I believe. England was losing and he captioned with photo with 'waiting for the inevitable 'England lost, blame Liam''. Just bleeping sick that poor Liam was effectively bullied to death.

Also, to answer something that was said a while back about the Niall tweet:

The claim that Niall liked a tweet saying Liam was being cringey at his concert is fake. Likes on twitter have been private since June, which means you can see your own liked posts, and on other people’s posts you can only see the number of likes it has, but not the names of anyone who’s liked it. You can check this yourself by going on twitter. I remember this Niall tweet saga going viral shortly before or after Liam’s death and the girl who photoshopped it eventually came out and admitted it was fake. Maybe she didn’t expect it to blow up and was perhaps shitting herself that she could get in trouble for making up lies or getting paranoid that Niall’s team could come after her for slander and so on (even though it’s unlikely Niall would ever pursue something like that through the courts). In any case, it’s fake and she admitted it was.

I haven’t gone back to check and see if the tweet’s been deleted since then but it was such a pathetic, jobless and lowlife thing to do. That you’d actually spend time doctoring an image for the sole purpose of adding to the bullying that Liam was already getting to make him feel even more crappy about himself. I hope he never saw it…thousands and thousands of people believed the tweet even though likes have been private since June (it’s scary how easy it is to lie nowadays on social media and for no one to question it). I can’t imagine how betrayed and hurt I’d feel if I were Liam and saw a bandmate I had just met up with liking a tweet that called me cringey. Especially if I’d travelled all the way to Argentina to see and support him.

There seems to be slightly more focus on everyone's mental health lately but I can't imagine they would let that get in the way of earning million and millions of pounds even though it is totally wrong to mess people up like that
I always remember Britney spears and how sick I felt after realising I was living my best life at her concerts, saw her in Vegas twice and then in the UK, but really she was being forced in to it. Her breakdown when she shaved her head and how everyone mocked her...absolutely nothing has changed from those days. I'd imagine there will be a focus for a while on protecting "the stars" but it will fade away and come back again when there's another celebrity that dies too soon once more

It adds a further layer to the tragedy that he was also bullied during his childhood too, and that's why he took up boxing for a while. To have your life bookended by bullying with a period of intense fame and hysteria in the middle would trouble even the strongest of us 😔
Aw man that's just heartbreaking. His poor parents as well to have seen their baby go through so much heartache

It was me who asked about that tweet, thanks for clarifying. I’m glad it wasn’t real but as you say, why on earth would you spend your time photoshopping something like that? I also hope he didn’t see it and believe it.

It's the hate bandwagon, isn't it? It seems that since the hiatus Liam is the only one to have been consistently and constantly bullied online for almost a decade. The other guys have been picked on too of course but nowhere near to the same extent and length as Liam I feel. It just became trendy to try and tear him down when most of the time it was for completely normal things he said. The fans begged him for information about what it was like behind the scenes and when he was honest and said that they weren't best friends and were not in regular contact since the hiatus, he was attacked. It's because he was candid and said what the fans didn't want to hear.

I think the hate really ramped up after the 2022 impaulsive podcast. I haven't watched it but heard he said some unsavoury things on it. But then, wasn't he plied with whiskey after whiskey on that podcast to get him drunk and say things he didn't mean? If true then it seems to me he was abused and taken advantage of on that.

Overall, does he say anything that unsavoury on the Paul podcast though?
At the start of X Factor, he was supposed to be the leader. Nicole herself even suggested so, and Simon went so far as to question whether he should remain in the Solo category. None of them went into it expecting to suddenly be capulted to mega fame as a boyband, all of them auditioned as Solo artists originally.
In hindsight it'd be easy to feel bitter that you've essentially traded your original goal to join a boyband as the leader, and are soon eclipsed by your band mates. Is it the right thing to feel considering the financial benefit you've had from this? Maybe not, but an easy conclusion to come to considering he was plagued by personal demons at the same time.
And Zayn, he was between a rock and a hard place after what may have been a lot of whiskey. Yes in hindsight he could have worded it better, but I think he did well to remain neutral to say he still supports Zayn whilst not condoning what happened between him and Gigis mother.

Yeah, I'm not sure of what he said as I haven't watched it, and refuse to on principle because I don't want to give Logan any clicks. But lots and lots of 1D fans and even Liam fans on the internet say they were disappointed with him, didn't like what he said and so on. So maybe it was a wording issue, not sure?
