Horror films

Some of my favs:

The Skeleton Key
The Woman In Black
Shutter Island

The Omen series
The Exorcist series
The Conjuring series

I'm not a fan of slasher stuff. More your ghost, occult, vampire kind of girl.

This is quite a good thread for horror and scary films and TV shows who like that genre.

I actually thought Hereditary was good until the end. I know it’s a film but the whole cult thing seemed ridiculous to me and I felt let down lol. Is Midsommar the same kinda thing?
I couldn’t get the story behind hereditary .

I watched a new one last night. The Invitation. It was watchable enough but not exactly scary. It's about vampires

On a side note, if they are ever looking for an actress to play Meghan Markle in anything, the lead actress in this is a shoe in. Her name is Nathalie Emmanuel.

One of the creepiest horrors I’ve seen is the 1974 film ‘Black Christmas’. The wonderful Margot Kidder is in it too. I can remember walking home from the pictures terrified!! It’s very rarely on TV anymore but definitely worth a watch if you can find it. The 2006 re-make is not very good at all IMO.

I agree! Black Christmas is dated but very creepy and notable as it predates Halloween. The BBC showed it on Christmas Eve very late about 20 years ago, that’s when I saw it. Haven’t come across it on tv since.

They did another remake a couple of years ago which was apparently awful too!

What does everyone think of the new Russell Crow movie coming out in April?

Not his usual style but looks good and the fact it's based on a true story 😳 hope it's decent 👌

I've just watched The Autopsy Of Jane Doe starring Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch.

I thought it was very good. Creepy and atmospheric. Relied on the actors rather than special effects.

So not so much a film but on sky history I just watched the real conjuring story. It was very good! Extremely creepy. Worth a watch

i used to love horror films in my early twenties but I’ve gone off them a bit recently.

I used to really like Get Out, the Witch, the Conjuring (1 & 2), the Mist, Fright Night (I love a good vampire flick am ngl lol), the Woman in Black, Cargo, Attack the Block, Shaun of the Dead…can’t think of any more right now

Gerald’s Game scared the tit out of me lol

LOVE horror films!

Some of my favs are:

The Shining
Scream
The Conjouring
Evil Dead (2013)
Saw
The Cabin in the Woods

I’m going to see the new Evil Dead this weekend, so excited!

I’ve been rewatching the final destination movies over the last few days. I forgot how much I loved the first 2! I know they’re predictable but I love them. The concept I actually think is brilliant and is quite scary that death has an “order” and will come back for you if you cheat it

I've just finished watching Hell House LLC ... 1,2 & 3

They are found footage, documentary style horrors but I really enjoyed them. Just the right side side of creepy and not excessively gory.

Enjoyed Men until the end then just thought what the duck? It had great potential....loved The Servant on Apple, even the house was dark and moody!
