Horror films

I watched a new one last night. The Invitation. It was watchable enough but not exactly scary. It's about vampires

On a side note, if they are ever looking for an actress to play Meghan Markle in anything, the lead actress in this is a shoe in. Her name is Nathalie Emmanuel.

The Invitation (2015 not 2022) is also pretty good, but not about vampires.

Enjoyed Men until the end then just thought what the duck? It had great potential....loved The Servant on Apple, even the house was dark and moody!

I have literally just watched Men and I really don't think I liked it, it was just low-key unpleasant with no narrative unless I'm missing something?

Men 100% scarred me. I was expecting great things from it, thought it started out fairly well but then where it ended up I was like wtf. Stayed with me for a few days that as it was just so 🤯😶

i also want to watch the pope’s exorcist. I still also want to see the new evil dead but again, setting the bar low for it🤣

There's already atleast one other film that's loosely based on the same guy (and might be easier to find/rent) - The Rite.

Anyone interested in Father Gabriele Amorth just Google his name, lists of books and films based on his work.

Also if exorcism is your jam then look into Padre Pio, some wickedly weird occurrences during his life!

Host is fantastic though I heard the director's follow up was a bit of a swing and a miss (dashcam horror).

The Rite is excellent.

I will watch The Pope's Exorcist at some point but I think it can be hard to take Russell Crowe seriously these days. When he was running up flights of stairs in Unhinged we were laughing as chubsters ourselves saying 'not a chance he wouldnt be out of breath!' :ROFLMAO: Unhinged is a great thriller though.

The Cleansing Hour is one I saw a while back I thought was really good.

There's also a new Exorcist sequel coming out. The Exorcist: Believer will be released in cinemas on October 13th. It is going to ignore all the other sequels and just be a direct follow up to the original. Ellen Burstyn is returning as Chris MacNeil and there are rumours going about online that Linda Blair will also be turning up. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

There is also Saw X coming out on October 27th and a new instalment of The Strangers coming in August. Insidious is also getting another instalment next month. Other upcoming films are The Nun 2, Five Nights at Freddy's and Salems Lot. So there's a few good ones coming up.

Do we know what's happened to that? Wasn't it supposed to come out a while ago then it all went quiet?

I'm looking forward to The Nun 2. I love The Conjuring Universe.

I'm also very frustrated I can't get to watch the TV series of Interview With The Vampire and Mayfair Witches.

Enjoyed 'Happy Deathday' on Netflix. Think there might be a sequel in the works. I was very disappointed in 'Halloween Ends.'

People have mentioned 'The Others'; the ending creeped me out so much, my scalp tightened to the point of it hurting! I'm sure it was only a 12 as well.
