What Black Friday deals are everyone making use of?
I am very boring and about a month ago I created a spreadsheet of everything I use and their full price. I then slowly buy them as the discounts come in and then don’t really buy anything until next year’s Black Friday. I put the reduced price I pay on the spreadsheet too so I can see the total saving at the end.

Fun times for me, terribly dull for most.

I bought two bottles of hyaluronic acid serum from Revolution London from Amazon, was on offer and I have one open right now and happen to like it, so it was a good deal. And I got the Jelly Joker cleanser by Geek & Gorgeous, wanted to try it for some time and my regular cleanser is running low, so the offer was handy (also Amazon).

You are my kind of woman. Have you ever used the Honey chrome extension? I use it religiously to check whether “deals” on Amazon are actually a deal.

I have a £75 Space NK voucher I have to use before year end and I know I’m getting Ouai leave in conditioner and Eborian redness Cc cream as I use them both religiously. Not strictly grooming or glamour but I have also stocked up on Fulfil and Barebells protein bars, and Purition protein shake sachets. I try to eat real food most of the time but I also have a full on job and tend to use shakes for breakfast and keep protein bars in my bag to avoid the far worse option at 4pm in the staff cafe 😆

Any recommendations for a dry sensitive scalp? I realised recently I was allergic to my shampoo (Pureology Hydrate Sheer) and I’m using Garnier Ultimate Blends oat shampoo currently which is better but not great.

I’m pretty sure it’s just a sensitive scalp and not seborrhoeic dermatitis or psoriasis although I do get a bit of psoriasis on my legs. Just a dry cranky sensitive scalp (and face).
I was watching a podcast today and they were talking about Parabens. They swapped them for another chemical after an outcry and the new chemical has made people allergic to things they weren't before. It was an interesting listen.

Quoting myself 😁 but I've just remembered something from the podcast. Older Tattlers may remember a certain model called Marie Helvin (went around with Jerry Hall), and how young she looked and people asking how she kept her skin so nice. Turned out she was rubbing sunflower margarine into her skin.
Well, it came up in the podcast about there being method in this madness, as the linoleic acid in it is good for your skin but now people rub sunflower oil in instead.😁

Does anyone know a good face serum that brightens hyperpigmentation? I’ve got a few dark spots that I’d like to fade. Vitamin C doesn’t work well for me unfortunately

Do you know what… I’ve been using whipped tallow (thanks TikTok) at night for my skin and it’s by far the least irritating and moisturising thing I’ve used for a while. I found a random lady in Staines who started a small business and has had her products tested for safety by Oxford Biosciences as I was wary of getting something drop shipped from China off Amazon.

Sounds the same as my scalp, I used SLS free shampoo, currently using Imbue but there are loads out there and a shampoo brush, the Sanex therapy shower gel has also stopped the skin on my legs being dry, mine were dry even with moisturiser on when I used other stuff

Had to look this one up as I've never heard of it. Tattle is really educational. 😁

Pureology is SLS free if I'm not mistaken. I used that shampoo and I don't like it as it has mint and menthol in it which can be irritating. I hate the tingly minty feeling it gives you. Especially in the winter. Makes me feel cold in the shower.

Try nizoral or boots own brand of ketoconazole shampoo. It's a godsend for any irritated scalp or condition.

Ladies - what are we doing about sunken under eye areas?? Mine are so deep and no amount of concealer covers them up, and I don't want to be sticking needles/filler in my tear troughs!
Have you heard of volufeline? I've seen a lot of tiktok videos of women using it for sunken upper or lower eyes with amazing results. It's very new and is much safer than filler. Filler for undreyes can be hit or miss. Not worth the gamble for me personally.

I suffer with melasma/hyperpigmentation. The only thing that properly works is hydroquinone. You can get it on prescription via Dermatica. Failing that, niaciamide (sp?) works quite well.

I have no idea. The revolution dark spot corrector was my holy grail. It was pure perfection. But they reformulated it and now it does nothing anymore. It was really cheap but as cheap as it is, do not waste your money on that
