Does anyone do at home waxing with stripless wax? Thinking of treating myself to a Mylee kit in the Black Friday deals on Amazon
I have done in the past, was fairly easy, but have gone back to shaving my underarms and bikini. found the stripless wax is easier and less painful than strip wax though.Does anyone do at home waxing with stripless wax? Thinking of treating myself to a Mylee kit in the Black Friday deals on Amazon
This is a motherfucking vibe, I love it. I have spreadsheets as well with my spending, my secondhand sales on various sites, in addition to listing makeup and other products I've tested and if I love or hate them, so I remind myself when I think about purchasing or repurchasing anything. ☺I am very boring and about a month ago I created a spreadsheet of everything I use and their full price. I then slowly buy them as the discounts come in and then don’t really buy anything until next year’s Black Friday. I put the reduced price I pay on the spreadsheet too so I can see the total saving at the end.
Fun times for me, terribly dull for most.
Does anyone have a good recommendation for an exfoliator? Mask or toner preferred, I'd like to try something other than Pixi and Inkey List. I didn't really like The Ordinary Lactic Acid one.
Yes, though I don’t trust myself with bits and pits. Shave my armpits and go to a proper waxer for my Hollywood waxes. It is, however, really good on my face.Does anyone do at home waxing with stripless wax? Thinking of treating myself to a Mylee kit in the Black Friday deals on Amazon
Argh I just bought the revlon 5 in 1 cos I was too cheap to buy a shark or Dyson and didn't trust the magic styler that's always being advertised on Facebook! I might be tempted by this as well...Wonder if this will be good. Coming in on the 28th.
I love my blow dry hot brush that I got a few months ago for £9.99.

I swear by The Ordinary BHA and AHA 30%, been using it for years and I love it. You only need to use it once a week for about 10 mins. Can see a difference immediately imo.Does anyone have a good recommendation for an exfoliator? Mask or toner preferred, I'd like to try something other than Pixi and Inkey List. I use the cosrx aha/bha toner. You don’t need to spray a lot onto a cotton pad, so it lasts a long time.Does anyone have a good recommendation for an exfoliator? Mask or toner preferred, I'd like to try something other than Pixi and Inkey List. I didn't really like The Ordinary Lactic Acid one.
I’d use it of a night and make sure you put plenty of spf on the next morning.Has anyone used the Mario Badescu AHA and ceramide moisturiser? I picked it up in TKMaxx a few weeks ago just because I wanted a small moisturiser for nights away etc, but I really like it and have been using it twice a week. My skin is much more glowy and refined, and it does wonders for the pores on my nose (no more icky little black dots)
I've been using it day or night but as I'm going on a sun holiday soon I wonder if I should use something else with my SPF for that week, as I'm sure I've read AHAs make the skin more sensitive to sun damage? Or would it be OK to use at night?
Also picked up a Clarins tinted mineral spf that seems quite nice - very little coverage but a little glow and I think it'd be a good base for other makeup.
I assume from the messages that a lot of us are women, but does anyone have any advice for male skin? My partner is clueless as am I. I think he’d benefit from a dermatologist but not possible right now financially.
issues:
acne marked skin and under the skin spots on face and back
Skin on face is always quite red
skin looks dry (but he says not tight or sore)
visible pores
he currently uses:
Cérave cleanser for normal to oily in evening
Nivea soft moisturiser in evening
Salycilic acid on spots
He does not cleanse or moisturise in AM
I have thought redness could be rosacea ?
any thoughts or suggestions are very welcome.
I've had good results with skin and me though it varies and it didn't work for some people. Great for me though. I had spots, especially in the autumn winter time I'd break out with horrible bumpy skin texture and spots all over jaw. I don't have any spots now.I assume from the messages that a lot of us are women, but does anyone have any advice for male skin? My partner is clueless as am I. Not sure if this is the right thread… but does anyone else feel the pressure of a new year looming? That thought process of I’ll lose weight, look after myself more etc… it’s like I need to completely reinvent myself as this year will be the year! I thought the same last year and the years before that! It’s hard to explain the feeling/pressure - but please tell me I'm not the only one!

I think it’s easy to feel the pressure but it is absolutely ok to not force yourself into a ‘new year, new me’ mentality. Make changes if you want and do them any time you like. Last year was a bit of a tit one for me (had its good points too, but what stuck out were the tit things) and my job in particular went totally pear shaped right at the end of the year and I didn’t even want to go back in January. I just decided the best I could do was be glad the year was over and not put to much pressure on myself for this year. Whilst 2024 hasn’t been wall to wall sunshine and smiles, it’s been an improvement and I’ll gladly take that, but I’m not going to put pressure on myself for 2025. It might be good, it might be tit.Not sure if this is the right thread… but does anyone else feel the pressure of a new year looming?
