The Archers

Sounds exciting! I go through spells of listening to The Archers and I enjoy it, but I always fall out of the habit when life gets busy and then I leave it too long to catch up.

My longest listening streak was about 5 years - which coincided with the original Rob/Helen storyline - and I listened again recently when he came back. I was glad they closed the door on that storyline, though, because if they'd kept Rob alive it would have always meant he might return again.

Right, what’s the go with Alice’s new Boyf? Has he got some kind of terrible illness? Is he not taking some kind of meds for MH? Is Brian going to die? I’m invested once more.
Think Harry could be addicted to pain killers following his accident, if yes a blood test could indicate a drop in kidney function as a result of the meds, something he needs to be made aware of.
Hopefully we’re not saying goodbye to Brian for a while yet, I’m thinking he could be allergic to Hilda Ogden, the cat, who should be living with Joy in any event, Joy being the one person who would enjoy Hilda’s company, cats can sense these things.😀

My prediction -

1) There's something else that's stopping Harry from competing again. Like they said on Ambridge on the Couch, you can't keep a professional event rider from competing (one of the best in the UK, William Fox-Pitt fell and was in a coma in 2015, came 12th in the 2016 Olympics, Tim Skelton is a show jumper but he broke his neck in 2000 and was competing again in 2001... they're worse than farmers for telling them to stop and retire off of injury). I thought it was maybe something cancer-y but after last nights episode I've changed my mind and think it may be some heart condition and he'll be written off from SADS sometime whilst out on a hack with Alice.

2) Brian absolutely will be dead by the end of Spring, looking grey and having chest tightenings - heart attack impending. Hilda will be once more bounced around the place.

3) Martha's new Shetland pony has some horrible underlying condition because he wasn't vetted at sale and needs to be PTS. (I originally thought cushings but apparently my knowledge is too rusty there as it causes weight loss, not weight gain).

4) The sheep will be grazed on the cricket field secretly, then it'll come out, cause a lot of hassle and Ed will sell the whole flock and take up arborism.

Speculation on social media is that Harry may have a STI 😳
And just as Alice has yielded to temptation with him!
Poor Alice, but Kate did say to Bryan that she doesn’t like Harry’s Aura 🙄

IF Harry has HIV .. with the meds available these days if you do have HIV you can enjoy a full sexual relationship without passing the virus to the other person.

Not necessarily HIV though.
Possibly syphilis or similar 🤷🏻‍♀️
Or if it is HIV then he obviously doesn’t know that he carries the virus so won’t be taking any meds for it, and he’s already (we’re thinking) done the business in the bedroom with Alice.

I keep thinking something is up with the pony, but didn’t Jakob go with Chris to look at it?

Wonder what will happen re Robert Snell and Roy Tucker as the actors that played both have died ☹️
Killed off, or left for a while and then new actors brought in as replacements?
Robert Snell might be easier to replace than Roy, as Roy had quite a distinctive voice. There's also the death of Peggy to cover, with Carole Tregorran surely not far behind.
