Pete and Karen as somebody said earlier would be great! I think Tashas fairly tall so maybe Kai? Although wouldn’t be against her and Jojo. I can appreciate that although Tasha is an ex love islander, she doesn’t come across as a fame bleep who’ll do any reality tv show just to stay relevant. She’s always leaned into the fashion/beauty side of things. My worry with having 2 reality stars in a row is that they’ll end up casting the ‘celebs’ that just circle round every reality show. Tasha and Pete should both be good though!
 
Ugh another couple of months with smug pricks Kai... Yay! Not fussed over the love island people but I doubt young people are watching strictly anyway but what is classed as young anyway?
 
Former Love Islander though? Could they not have described Tasha as something else as well? Even Zara is called a documentary maker (despite her recent hard-hitting piece where she discovered that Tattlers are regular people who work as nurses and primary school teachers and are married with children 😆).

Pete I don't know much about, but I get the impression that he loves himself.

'She said one of the male dancers, who has since left the show, treated people "in an insane way. The way he spoke to women, including female dancers and junior staff, was disgusting and chauvinistic. We’d be warned about working with him".

I think it depends on your age as to whether you think Tasha is a celeb or not. Whether people like it or not reality stars are becoming famous in some demographics. At the end of the day, if she can dance, does some good routines, entertains and comes across as a decent person, does anyone actually really care that she is considered famous because of Love Island? Don’t know about anyone else but I watch Strictly mainly for some light entertainment, it isn’t taxing and I love watching dancing. I really don’t care if the celebs are considered famous or not. Can hardly see the likes of Keanu Reeves or JLO doing Strictly.

I agree with this. I've been watching since the beginning and even in the earlier series there were people I only vaguely had heard of (and occasionally not all). For me it matters not as often the ones you do know well often turn out to be disappointment for various reasons. I sort of had heard of most people last year except for Nikita but I still v much enjoyed it all.
 
Tasha & Kai for me. He's due someone young and talented after two older women in a row, and is experienced enough as a teacher to handle her disability. Would be a make or break partnership though - would need to ditch the "old man" vibes if he's given her as a partner.

Glad Pete is in because this thread will be a hoot. Jowita/Karen/Nancy would be the direction I'd go in for his partner, would have also said Katya but the tabloids would have a field day there. Think he'd find Dianne a bit much, and Amy is too straight-laced for him, can you really imagine her with the flirty TOWIE guy?
