I think if they feel they HAVE to have one then it becomes the definition of box ticking. If they happen to have one or two celebrities accept the offer to take part who would rather be in a same sex partnership then it just so happens to be part of the show that year. Doesn’t mean to say that they haven’t approached someone this year

Yeah that’s what I was thinking but I couldn’t work out how to word it, the fact that almost a series without makes it feel more normal and less forced than them feeling obliged to tick the same boxes every year

Not as fussed about same-sex pairings, but not having a single LGBT person period would be backwards. 2019 didn't have any openly LGBT people at the time (Alex Scott came out later and I don't count Michelle Visage), but we'd be going back as far as 2015 to have an entirely straight cast.

Judging by how he documents everything single thing he does on the gram. I don’t think he gets far in the competition. Couldn’t hold his water if his life depended on it that one.

People fail to realise this. They also spend weeks moaning about the lineup after the reveals but then after week 1 they love them all anyway. Like save your energy and just wait until the show actually starts before saying you will boycott

I definitely think though some years straight from the off you can just get that immediate joy and excitement as soon as line up is announced.

Like last year it felt a bit palpable as though we knew it was going to deliver something special with Layton, the Angela's, Nigel, Bobby, Les, Krishnan, Ellie in the mix you could sort of tell there was loads to look forward to before it even started so i dont fully subscribe to the idea that every year the line up always looks this crap kinda thing
(No boycotting here just a touch underwhelmed)
