Is there really any need to react so angrily just because you don't like someone they signed up? They've had loads of people over the years who weren't celebrities.

I've zero interest in Towie or Love Island, but yeah, Pete and Tasha are much more well known than Saffron and Molly Rainford (in a CBBC show with probably less than 50k viewers). And Emma Weymouth! Still feel a bit gaslit by Strictly trying to pretend she was in any way famous

I'm not really too bothered about reality TV contestants as they have an audience/following. I care more about whether they are entertaining/engaging on the actual show

Please don’t say that 😂 He commented on both Pete and Tashas announcement posts this morning and then 5 mins later, did a story about how he is appearing on MC soon 🙄 as if MC is the same league as Strictly. That’s how desperate and bitter he is, that he keeps getting knocked back 😂 he’s been begging for SCD for 6 years now. There’s got to be a reason he’s never asked and whatever it is, long may it continue 😂
 
Tasha got on my tits at times on LI but generally she seems a very lovely girl, is going to look STUNNING in her costumes and is a fantastic dancer, so frankly I'm far more looking forward to watching her than vapid YouTubers (looking at you Joe and Saffron) or someone's who bleeping famous for being Gordon Ramsay's daughter ffs. Plus it's just a sign of the times, I'm in my 30's and I don't know who half of the oldies are so if they want people in their 20's to watch they need people of this ilk.
 
Quite uninspired by the recent reveals.

Looks like it's still JB as my favourite at this point. Although I am looking forward to the bonkers energy that Toyah will probably bring.
 
I think it depends on your age as to whether you think Tasha is a celeb or not. Whether people like it or not reality stars are becoming famous in some demographics. At the end of the day, if she can dance, does some good routines, entertains and comes across as a decent person, does anyone actually really care that she is considered famous because of Love Island? Don’t know about anyone else but I watch Strictly mainly for some light entertainment, it isn’t taxing and I love watching dancing. I really don’t care if the celebs are considered famous or not. Can hardly see the likes of Keanu Reeves or JLO doing Strictly.

Same here. Every year there are quite a few that I have no idea who they are. Including last year.
It doesn't bother me. I want to see them dancing, hopefully improving, and it's great when someone turns out to be a complete dark horse. Whether I knew them beforehand or not.
