Hoping Billy gets medical attention at the checkpoint. I am routing for him and Bonnie. I love the relationship they have with eachother and their maturity for their age.

Not a fan of Mel. I don't like the constant mentions of luxury holidays etc. Like come on, surely you expected it to be tough when you signed up to this. And why would she think it's the right season to be sunbathing?
Mel's a strange one. I liked her on MasterChef Celeb but this I'm not so sure. There's something about her I can't warm to but I can't put my finger on it. Is it the low key humblebragging?

It's the "I'm so used to a luxury life and I would usually be spending lots of money on expensive hotels" comments.

I sometimes wonder how much of it is 'suggested' to them though. So they all have their characters and 'narratives'.

I don’t understand the complaining about not being able to relax or always staying in horrible places, isn’t it roughly just 2 nights and then they get to spend 2 nights at check points in lovely hotels

I think it’s more like 4-5 nights between the hotels. I think I saw on the last leg they wrote in the book on day 13 and last night was day 19. I think also the overnight coaches are killers as you just can’t sleep comfortably.

I think this celeb series works because they paired them with a member of their own family who is not famous so hopefully grounds them a bit. Imagine if they were in celeb pairs.

I agree. Also because they aren't big personalities. They could just as easily be a regular series.

Harry's mum is doing so well. Having travelled with my mum who's a similar age I appreciate how hard she must be finding the race aspect. Harry needs to slow it down a bit

Me too! It's quite the gear change, although to be fair to her, she has settled down a bit. It's funny because whilst she acknowledged things didn't exactly work out like she expected, she still holds all that on a bit of a pedestal, rather than seeing it for what it is.

Really enjoying this series!

Billy and Bonnie are still my favourites and I really hope they win. Just nice people, really nice relationship and motivations.

I'm warming to Alex after the last episode, I like that him and his dad helped Billy. His dad seems like a really nice man.

Mel and her mum I'm not really warming too much, I feel like her mum isn't getting much air time and Mel seems to spend a lot of time talking about how she's not all about luxury but really showing that she is!

I like Harry but I am still struggling with his mum, she's really getting stuck in but there seems to be something that they aren't saying or explaining? She said that she always wanted to travel but then she had kids and got married and needed to work....but he's her youngest and pretty old now and I'm sure Harry would have helped them financially to travel? Maybe she's been poorly in the past? Glad Harry realised he needs to slow down and take in some sights as it feels like they haven't stopped to do something they wanted to do or see yet

Love Billy and Bonnie. Their relationship is lovely to see, and Billy is absolutely smashing it showing what a full and independent life you can have as an amputee.

Mel and her mum- we get it Mel. You’re not confident since All Saints went to tit. I don’t need her sob story on repeat. She’s a grown woman but coming over as a professional victim.

Alex and his dad- hated them but warmed to him last episode for not racing with Bonnie and Billy. He could see that Billy was in pain and likely to push himself to win. Lovely to see a bit of compassion and teams enjoying the journey together.

Harry and Emma. Oh my GOD. Does Harry have to say “mum” at the end of every sentence?! My mum started a drinking game last episode and she was on the floor at the end of it. As for Emma saying that she needs to be more forthright with what she wants? Erm? She chose the route they went on!

Harry went to boarding school so you would think she would be used to him not being there.

Looking at Wiki, he went to private prep schools, but was he definitely a boarder? If his family lived in Clare thats in Suffolk close enough for him to be a day pupil!

I am starting to warm to Alex a bit, he did suggest walking with Billy to support him!

Im looking forward to tonight!
