Harry's mum is just one of those people who wind me up. I don't have any other explanation for it. She's annoying. And there doesn't seem to be much to Harry 🤷‍♀️

Can't help but love Mel and her mum, very relatable. Alex seems like a truly terrible person, really dismissive of the guy who put him up and whowas so proud of where he lived, they barely seemed to appreciate the views, even - too busy complaining about the showers. Billy, don't get me started on him, he's remarkable, I'll cry. Much better route than the dreaded motorways of Canada.
Omg Alex moaning about the perfectly acceptable accommodation - actually in front of the owner 😲 He really is hard work. 'I'm used to two showers a day'.
I did laugh at Mel and her mum driving round, what appeared to be, random streets in Nice looking for her friend's house 'well it's got a garden and a wall' 😂

And then just shouting her name outside the building! I can't believe it worked.

You have summed up perfectly how I feel.

Can’t believe Harry’s mum is only 63, I would have put her at least 10yrs older, the amount of moaning about how she has been unable to travel, why? Even if you work full time you must get 25 days holiday, your kids have all long left home, no excuse for not having jumped on a plane/train.

I do like watching Mel and her mum get closer, I love Alex’s dad (can’t stand his son) and have nothing but awe for Billy’s determination and his relationship with Bonnie, she is so mature for her age too.

Be happy for any of them to win apart from Harry and Moaning Myrtle, but would love for it to be Billy and Bonnie and yes, far more enjoyable than Canada.

In fairness, I think the producers have had a hand in Harry’s Mum’s ‘story’. They probably engineered it in that they asked some questions to try and get an angle then fanned the flames when she spoke about travelling after retirement.
She does look a lot older than 63 though. How old is Mel’s Mum? I googled it and can’t find out. Her daughter is 25 now.
It’s one of the best shows on TV in my opinion.

Just caught up on the past two weeks, i love this show.

I feel a bit split about Alex yes he is annoying on one hand but on the other I also feel he is on the ASD spectrum. He may also have ARFID an eating disorder which can be there since birth or it can appear when someone has had a traumatic experience with food such as choking (he explained he had a bad experience witg a fish bone). It’s common amongst those with ASD too.

Also why did he have to try that octopus there’s no rules ever to say we all have go like the same thing. Just because someone doesn’t like a food people immediately label them fussy or weak which is wrong. I would hate to be forced to eat something I didn’t like.

I like Billy such a great guy. Mel on that train, when that guy helped them i think he was quite starstruck!

I know in the first episode they mentioned the different time zone but it hasn’t been mentioned since so have the recent countries all been on the same time?

Loving this series. The scenery is amazing. When they said there was going to be a celebrity series I thought the worse, but a great mix of people. No Love Island types. Just solid people with a bit of depth to them.

This! I love how one pair can be on a train through the mountains in Austria while another hunt down a beach. They seemed to focus a bit more on a few of them reflecting on their relationships this week, esp Billy and Alex which was lovely to see. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode.

I think a reality tv show person like Joey Essex would be entertaining just thinking of the stupid things they’d say

I haven't been keen on Alex all series but I warmed to him in the last episode when he showed a lot of compassion for Billy and they agreed to work together to get to the checkpoint. I know it's a competition but that was really sweet of him. It must be so tough for Billy and he never complains and just gets on with it, especially when they are doing manual labour jobs. I wonder if kneeling down de-weeding caused some of his swelling. I hope him and Bonnie win, they have such a lovely supportive relationship and considering how young they both are they seem to be the most level headed of all the teams.

I would’ve thought after his leg was bad in one of the other legs after doing work they would’ve picked a route that had easier less manual jobs. Something like the serving food the other team did but Billy/Bonny always seem to pick hard jobs

If any of you are also watching Strictly there is a guy on there, Jody, with a prosthetic leg and he had to take time off from training as his leg got so swollen and infected he had to be rushed to hospital in the night. From all the training I presume.
So just goes to show how painful and serious these things can be. Billy is so stoic when the pain must be awful. And worrying.

See that would ruin it for me. I don't want a load of celebs acting up for the camera. Although these are celebs, they are at least 'normal'. The race and the destinations is what it's about for me.
I agree. We have already got enough dumbass tv, we should cling on to those that have raised their game. The production values on this are great. This is adult tv not ITV 4 or whatever you channel you find Joey Essex.

Hoping Billy gets medical attention at the checkpoint. I am routing for him and Bonnie. I love the relationship they have with eachother and their maturity for their age.

Not a fan of Mel. I don't like the constant mentions of luxury holidays etc. Like come on, surely you expected it to be tough when you signed up to this. And why would she think it's the right season to be sunbathing?
