Spare a thought for us who don’t even come close to fitting in a M&S bra. Or the Asda ones. Or primark.

Buying bras here is like taking out a remortgage.
I struggle to find them in my local town as there arn’t many decent clothes shops that sell a good selection of bras. I CBA to go into the city as it’s too peoply so tend to order online and pray they fit.

My local shop will be closing at 7pm on Christmas eve.

Anyone else planning on going in for a browse just before they close?

The last time I went they had a £90 collection turkey for 10-12 down to £45. Never seen a yellow sticker with such a discount.

I'm just hoping there will be some reduced cheese.

I also tried and liked their Cornish Jersey milk today. It was £1.80 for 1L.
It’s as close I’ll ever be to the Olympics but I know I’ll score at least a bronze medal in the yellow sticker Christmas Eve Olympics With a turkey crown or similar. I love the thrill of chasing the bargain

What is this bra shop people are talking about?! I’ve had a look at the multiple mentioned fantasie bra and now I want one. I got measured for a new nursing bra not long ago and they’ve definitely fitted me wrong, way too big on both back and cup! Not sure why I bothered getting measured as all they do is bleeping guess.

M&S prices are getting ridiculous, I may go for a mooch Xmas eve before closing though. I have a terrible habit of grabbing a pastry on arrival to subdue and share with my toddler and then not declare at the tils. I’m going to bleeping get caught one day aren’t I 🤭😂

I made those Jane’s Patisserie white choc and ginger cookies today. They were ok but I don’t think I’d bother again. Maybe they’d be better with eg cranberries in them, but I don’t think I can be arsed to find out.
I made them and thought they were nice enough, but need double the amount of ginger. I also used light brown sugar instead of dark, so maybe that would have helped mine?

I doubled the ginger based on comments here but I used dark brown sugar. They weren’t awful but they just weren’t amazing. There were two balls of dough (out of eight) still in the fridge the next day, which given I live with several insatiable teenagers has never ever happened before.

I made Jane’s patisserie cookies yesterday but I used a combo of two of her recipes to get a bit closer to the M&S version - the gingerbread ones and she has a white choc/fudge cookie recipe too so I added fudge to get the M&S caramelly bits in. I also added a bit more ginger powder and some finely chopped stem ginger in syrup, no treacle but used dark brown sugar so pretty treacley. They turned out really nice! I did them half the size she suggests so got a batch of 16 instead of 8 and they’re probably only a little smaller than an M&S one.

I usually only buy M&S bras in the sale and even then, if they're not certain styles, I don't bother.

There is a sister bra chart so if you're 34E, for example, you can down a back size but up a cup. When I used to go out a lot, it saved me in a pinch for last minute bra buying. This works everywhere, not just at Marks' 😛
Found this old post.

ETA Tattlers rave about this.

Also look at Wacoal bras (owned by Fantasie) John Lewis is pretty good for measuring. I went to the now defunct Allders about 30 years ago to be measured. You may also have an independent shop near you if you're lucky.
Bear in mind that different brands suit different shapes, I find Fantasie and Triumph fit me the best as I have quite a deep chest.

Omg I opened my advent calendar today (the mini bites one) and there was NO chocolate 🥹 I looked down below it and couldn’t see that anything had fallen down!

Also, considering pre ordering a platter of their sandwiches for my daughters first birthday in January as they’ve sent me 20% off for parenthood and I can order now and collect around her birthday which is end of Jan.

Anyone who has previously ordered them, how long do they last? I’m having her party the day after her birthday when wee having a little party at home. But the party is at 2pm so don’t want to risk them only being available to collect in the afternoon on that day. Then considering ordering to collect the day before her party, but that’s her actual birthday and me and her dad are planning to take her out somewhere for the day, so don’t want to have to collect in the middle of the day on her birthday… if I ordered to collect the day before that - so two days before the party - would they last that long ok in the fridge ?

Sorry really long winded way of asking 😅 or does anyone know what the collection time for them usually is ?

This post made me LOL. Because it was a step by step of how everything was playing out in your mind 😂

Pitfalls of being smaller band and larger cup. Prices are ridiculous and the straps are huge. Nightmare having to wear a 28 back because the straps are always too wide set as well. They're never scaled right.
