Gravy hack.... the ambient pouches they do for a few quid are pretty much similar to the chilled tubs that are around £5

We did a family taste test last Christmas and even the wife said stick to the pouches - as we usually add meat juices and whatnot to zhuzz it up anyhow.

The added bonus with the pouches - no valuable fridge space taken up, and any unopened pouches can be pressed into action for a sneaky drop of gravy over a chippy tea or an 'emergency' cooked dinner.

Has anyone eaten and rate the M&S slow cooked boneless turkey?
not the one shown but i had something similar from M&S last yr after Lidl had sold out. (I don't have a freezer so have to buy last minute)I love turkey but the flatmates is veggy so usually get one of those roast roll things. I recall the M&S one being quite expensive and not really worth it. It was very small for the price and of lower quality than the one I usually buy from Lidl.

This yr I bought from Lidl and enlisted the help of a friend of my flatmate who lives 10 mins walk away to pop it in her freezer so i can collect nearer the time

I'm a simple woman. £10 was too much for so few but £2 off? I'm there 🤣

Not to derail this to a Jane’s patisserie recipe page but I recommend when making the gingerbread cookies, make a brown butter (melt on a medium heat until butter foams and turns a dark caramel colour and add to recipe once cooled) for a richer taste and use 3tsp ginger instead of the 1.5 in the recipe 🎅

I swore I wouldn’t bother going to M&S this Christmas because of all the tit offers etc. I’m in ireland, and I’ve a good friend I wanted to get cholcolates for. I’d been looking at the snowy scene box for weeks and at €22 wasn’t worth it. So I went in store today to buy snacks for over Christmas and seen the scene reduced from €22 to €17.50 - and guess what I had a €5 off it in my app ending today. So I ended up getting it for €12.50 😂😂 so I’m happy with M&S again, well kinda 😆

It's only become a Jane's Patisserie recipe page because stupid M&S didn't make enough dough :( Do you still add the cinnamon and nutmeg as well as the extra ginger?

Just had a survey regarding sparks as a whole and how the offers are fairing this year compared to the advent calendar of disappointment. It's safe to say I mentioned more than twice the fact they have all our valuable shopping data and never use it to give us personalised offers. I mentioned vegetarians getting money off meat(and usually 50p off £7 etc) and people without children being sent 20% off kids clothes or the other random offers they send.

I've been super impressed with nectar. We didn't use to shop there that often previously. I just spent £5 worth of points in store today to get £5 off my shop which was a nice feeling. I managed to get £8 worth of points for free just by shopping normallyand because of their Christmas promotion and they give you the chance to earn extra points too. It would be nice if M&S copied their plan.

Nooooo !! Don’t talk about the iced spiced buns. They are my OG M&S treat & I genuinely fear they’ll go viral & I’ll never get my chubby mitts on them again !! 😂
They are my absolute favourite. I’ve had one this morning and will probably have the second tonight 😆

No gingerbread cookies today - not even the label so looks like they’ve gone in my store. Not in the league but I’ve been baking bog standard gingerbread cookies.
