I also haven't bought a bra from M&S since they measured me as a 34C and the actual bra shop measured me at a 30F!!
The Fantasie Bra I bought that day was literally life changing, no more saggy boobs, decent posture, clothes looked amazing on me.
Almost exactly the same happened to me, down to the bra sizes! The woman at the bra shop even said to me, “Were you going to Marks and Spencers? They often say go up a back size and down a cup.” (or the other way, I can’t remember) and then explained why you shouldn’t do that and spent almost an hour with me making sure I was correctly fitted with amazing bras that lifted everything. (They were fantasie too!)

Back to food. I’m looking forward to do my 6am shop on the 23rd. It’s never that busy and they’ve always had everything I’ve needed for Christmas. I don’t pre-book anything.

M&S used to be notorious for its terrible bra fitting/measuring service, I haven’t bothered with that for years after they tried to put me in something like a 40 back when I actually needed a 34, it was hanging off me and they said it was fine. Hopefully it’s improved since then!
I do buy their bras in my usual size because they do /some pretty ones in bigger cup sizes and are reasonable price wise and I find they fit me fine but like anywhere it depends on the style of the bra.

The Sainsbury’s ones are awful. Not gingery at all, just doughy and over sweet.
I managed to get one bag of the M&S ones and they were vastly superior. I don’t understand why they can’t just make more too. They’re always bringing out new items. A new flavour of cookie can’t be that difficult surely?
ill have to find a recipe and make my own
There's a Jane's Patisserie recipe that's very nice and similar!

I usually only buy M&S bras in the sale and even then, if they're not certain styles, I don't bother.

There is a sister bra chart so if you're 34E, for example, you can down a back size but up a cup. When I used to go out a lot, it saved me in a pinch for last minute bra buying. This works everywhere, not just at Marks' 😛

I hate being constrained around the chest (particularly with sports bras) and I know people say you need to go down a back size and up a cup size to what you think but it feels tight and wrong. I just wear their stretchy ones now. I don’t care, it feels better and far more comfy.
Same here. My chest exploded with the menopause during lockdown so I struggle to find my bra size, and I don't think they had it in Sparks last time I checked. Ended up getting one for £5 in Primark which I only wear when I have to. Feel like a horse in a harness wearing a bra, and the relief when you take it off!

I did mine on Boob or Bust and got a bit of a shock. 😄

I made those Jane’s Patisserie white choc and ginger cookies today. They were ok but I don’t think I’d bother again. Maybe they’d be better with eg cranberries in them, but I don’t think I can be arsed to find out.
I haven’t looked up the recipe but does it have treacle? I saw a reel on instagram last night on how to make the white chocolate M&S cookies and apparently that’s the “secret” ingredient

Ooh interesting- no treacle in this recipe.

On the plus side, the house smelt of gingerbread and I opened the door to the Amazon man and thought I must seem like a perfect bloody housewife.

But I’ve made lots of Jane’s Patisserie stuff before and absolutely love her recipes, and this one was just a bit meh.

My local shop will be closing at 7pm on Christmas eve.

Anyone else planning on going in for a browse just before they close?

The last time I went they had a £90 collection turkey for 10-12 down to £45. Never seen a yellow sticker with such a discount.

I'm just hoping there will be some reduced cheese.

I also tried and liked their Cornish Jersey milk today. It was £1.80 for 1L.

I’m tempted to. I went on easter saturday and got a few good yellow stickers way before closing time.

I've found this recipe which uses syrup, and the dark chocolate could be changed to white.
I also love the hints and tips in the reviews on Good Food recipes.

We’re going out for Christmas lunch this year so I’m really tempted to just go for shits and giggles and see if we can find any crazy bargains 😆

Was annoying me so went on a hunt to find the account. It’s Darcie Ratcliffe on instagram. She’s posted a video for the gingerbread ones now too

I’ll take a look at that - need to use the new pot of ginger I bought for the cookies as my old one had expired, obvs.

Agree re comments under the recipes. It makes me so much more likely to cook the recipe - and if a lot of them are saying the same thing (eg halve the salt) I always do and they’re right.
