I don’t know what’s more embarrassing - the tit people donate to charity shops instead of chucking away, or the charity shops deciding that’s worthy of a price tag.
People where justifying it in the comments saying people put lights in the for decoration which is fair enough. Someone I knew was asking for bottles for free and then charging a fortune for them. The lights are duck all to buy and I doubt it takes long to clean said bottle and put the lights in it. Pretty sure they where advertised for £20odd way before covid hit and
the prices of everything shot up.

Are they the tiny strings of lights with a bottle cork on one end? Just back from a holiday in the Canaries and they're everywhere, 50c a string in some places!

Yep. Safe to say she soon gave up on the idea 😂 If she was taking time to etch the bottles with a nice pattern or decoration I could understand charging a fortune. But it was old alcohol bottles with the cork lights shoved in.

We got a load of the light up cookie tins donated and have used them in our window display- they look fab with the battery tea lights in!

In other news, marks have knocked it out of the park with their latest offers. As an all female household who don’t drink ( or eat mince pies because of ~reasons~), our offers consist of money off men’s clothes, money off various liqueurs and money off mince pies 🤬.
i got those. I wonder if everyone did

I also have these offers, have never and will never buy any of these things from M&S. What happened to the relatively sensible ones like 50p off a £3 spend on bakery etc
yes its always off a £7 spend.. I am not going to spend £7 on yoghurt or crisps or something when there's just me. Why can a relative UK newcomer Lidl take notice of what we actually buy to the point of one time when I was obsessed with making a parma ish ham, stilton , peach or pear and pecan salad give me continual offers on the ingredients and M&S who have been on the High Street all my life not even notice my purchases when I shop there almost every day.?

I haven't been in this thread for a long time for willpower reasons, but came into lament them discontinuing the chocolate chilli tortillas! Oh cruel hand of fate! They were highly addictive so maybe it's for the best. Still, better to have loved and lost and all that...
That’s why I can’t find them then 😭😭 I’ve been looking loads, only managed to get them once!!

Um they've literally just slapped a chocolate vaguely sleigh shape on either side haven't they? Hardly amazeballs of the year.

has anyone had the Christmas dip? is it worth it - and is it with the dips or the Christmas stuff? thanks! :)

I tried it, quite liked it. Very rich, seemed to me to basically be a pot of cream with slight gravy flavour with a load of crumbled but unspecified "stuff" on top. Would buy again though.

The turkey pasta pot thing is better I think.

I tried the surf and turf brioche rolls (amazing) and the pigs in blanket Mac and cheese (average). I love Mac and cheese but wasn’t blown away by it and have no idea how it was worth £9!

The readymade Christmas dinner seems to be top in the taste test stakes. Probably cheaper than making it yourself, but will it be doll sized portions.🤔
Did anyone have it last year?
Think it's this one from what's been described to me:

I’m sure it wasn’t £50 last year, I was looking for someone I work with who struggles to get in to the shops. I feel it was £40.

This was on offer in my store today for £30, it was in the freezer section though ( could be slightly different)

I bought some today and have already sampled it. Have you had the caesar salad one? It's basically like that but with Christmas tit on it. It's nice.

I'be got the pigs mac and cheese in the oven right now. I did baulk at £9.

I need to know why they discontinued them, I wouldn't be surprised if they contain crack.

I can only find this online https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/32163823/marks-and-spencer-christmas-treat-discontinued/

and don't want to tweet them for fear of judgement.

You need a burner account for shame free tweeting.
