As a previous poster said, those honorary degrees should NOT be under Education, she did not learn anything at those institutions. This is boiling my piss. People save and work and scrimp and sacrifice to attend university and achieve their degrees. She did SFA. They need to be booted out of that section and into the correct one.

In my 🍉 OFFICE, the organization has a number of committees whose members are unpaid volunteers from relevant industry groups and the like. One of these members listed their participation on the committee in the "employment" section of their LinkedIn profile. Someone on the same committee reported that to LinkedIn, and the member was told to put it in the correct section or have his account deleted. He made the change.

So LinkedIn will take action with account holders that post misleading information on their profiles, if it's reported. Just saying.

Can I come?

I also have dogs and candles, and we could live miles from each other but meet up on walks and talk about how the world has gone to tit.

SAMPLE CONVERSATION:

🦈 - It's tit, isn't it?

🐭 - It bloody is.

<Continue walking for two hours in silence. Get flasks out. Swap sandwiches. Watch dogs frolicking happily. Walk back, two hours in silence>

🦈 - Same time tomorrow?

🐭 - Can we make its bit later - say 10 minutes? I want to finish my knitting.

🦈 - No problem. See you then. Bye.

🐭 - See you. Bye.

and then tomorrow and every week after the price changes so your costing is irrelevant

I guess vbi blah blah

Hold on. What if her Spreadsheet Project is a way to make the varicose baboon interrogation integrate with all the recipes. So every time it logs that the price of anchovies has gone up - was £2.80 for 100g, now £3.20, say - the recipe for anchovy peach sun dried tomato chickpea stew will flicker and update its costing from 12 p per portion to 12.2p

I guarantee you this is less ridiculous than whatever it actually is

Sorry what? Did she actually say that the council made the decision to cut 'welfare'? The council ONLY can make changes to council tax reductions, and that's not some massive free for all. Housing benefit was solely administered by councils, rules around amounts and eligibility was set by legislation. If you get universal credit, the housing element of UC isn't separately administered by the council now, all done by the DWP. Councils have duck all to do with income support/job seekers allowance/universal credit etc. Discretionary funds for local hardship could be cut, but those aren't a regular benefit.

She's so infuriating. Over a decade of local politics and she still knows the grand sums of duck all? What is the point of her?

she might be interested to know that my local council are planning to scale back council tax reductions, such is the utopia we are all now thriving in under this benevolent administration.

(tbf, the plans are to reinstate council tax reductions as they were pre-covid, as they have been covering 100% for whoever qualifies up until now, and they might still do so under certain circumstances. It would have been a Labour council who extended the support, and it is a Labour council who is now reducing it. Really makes you think.)

It’s the “That’ll do.” at the end of a list of perfectly benign ingredients that have been slopped together to create some sort of unimaginably foul slurry (or let’s face it, the “That’ll do.” at the end of literally anything)… ---
ETA: Mind you, we’re overdue a comeback from Ye Jack. Thought of this post from ye dearest @Sideboard Bob ye other day and loled greatly. View attachment 3317866 q

I realised that I didn’t know the context of the book token boast. Xanthe Clay quotes her saying this after noting that she went from the fire service to unemployed to “writing her witty, trenchant blog.”
So now you write a blog?
Yes I won a book token for a pome when I was eleven you see.

Did anyone ever ask if you get double the length of maternity if you have twins?

The big house🤣
all prisons and parliament buildings are interchangeable

Sadly not. That would be awesome.
I did have someone who left for a new job on 2nd of the month. She rang me up the next month as she’d only been paid 2 days by us, she thought she would get a full months pay as she’d worked during the month? She had already spent the money and wanted to know what I would do?

Oh also so she does have Netflix then

A tit parent, and a tit cook 'pitching a show' (insert 'Sure Jan' gif) about parenting and cooking. I'm sure it was thrown in the bin taken very seriously...

I thought that company buying the guardians Sunday paper was familiar - tortoise media. Then realized it was that pretentious place where we watched their awards ceremony that gave jack person of the year award (or something similar) 😆.

I'm not sure why guardian employees are on strike, seems like a good fit for their paper.
