How good is this

I'm really enjoying the whole series. I like the quieter episodes, the politics and back stabbing are some of my favourite bits.

It was never going to match GoT, that was (for the most part) next level tele IMO. I always expected HotD be less than its predecessor so never expected much from it, but so far it is exceeding my expectations and I'm actually excited each week for the new episode - can't remember the last time I waited for an episode to drop (probably Friends in the early 00s 😂)
I totally agree and am really enjoying HOTD. It's a lot better than I thought it would be as a spin off. Of course having Matt Smith in it helps 🥰

The Dragonseeds have only just been introduced and I haven't yet formed an attachment or particular liking for any of them yet. Hope they turn out to be interesting characters and not just dragon food 😄

Oh they will be … if they’re faithful to the book where some of them are concerned 👀

Finally renewed my Now subscription so I could catch up (thank you to Now for dropping an offer in to my inbox!) so binged it all the last few days, including a rewatch of season 1 as I tried to watch the first ep of season 2 and had no idea what was going on.

I think for me I just love the whole world and it’s put me right back in the mood for GOT. So now I’m back watching that while waiting for the next ep 😂

also thanks for all the memes posted in this thread so far, I enjoyed them immensely as I was reading through ☺️

I'm just watching the episode now and thinking of how Daemon's Ayahuasca-equivalent trips are an interesting way of showing his inner turmoil. Otherwise we'd just have him sulking around and committing war crimes. With them we have an insight into his psyche and the things he'd never admit, not even to himself.
