And speaking of him, I realized that the one episode that many people felt was boring, was the one he didn’t really appear in this season coincidence? I think not his acting is the best in season 2, imho.

I'm really enjoying the whole series. I like the quieter episodes, the politics and back stabbing are some of my favourite bits.

It was never going to match GoT, that was (for the most part) next level tele IMO. I always expected HotD be less than its predecessor so never expected much from it, but so far it is exceeding my expectations and I'm actually excited each week for the new episode - can't remember the last time I waited for an episode to drop (probably Friends in the early 00s )

I totally agree and am really enjoying HOTD. It's a lot better than I thought it would be as a spin off. Of course having Matt Smith in it helps

The Dragonseeds have only just been introduced and I haven't yet formed an attachment or particular liking for any of them yet. Hope they turn out to be interesting characters and not just dragon food

Finally renewed my Now subscription so I could catch up (thank you to Now for dropping an offer in to my inbox!) so binged it all the last few days, including a rewatch of season 1 as I tried to watch the first ep of season 2 and had no idea what was going on.

I think for me I just love the whole world and it’s put me right back in the mood for GOT. So now I’m back watching that while waiting for the next ep

I'm guessing that they are Corlys illegitimate sons, that guy who looks like an escaped viking with a wife and daughter who lives in Kings Landing and the Harry Enfield lookalike Ulf.

I think one of them was in the trailer with a dragon but it wasn’t one of the bigger ones same size as Syrax

I'm just watching the episode now and thinking of how Daemon's Ayahuasca-equivalent trips are an interesting way of showing his inner turmoil. Otherwise we'd just have him sulking around and committing war crimes. With them we have an insight into his psyche and the things he'd never admit, not even to himself.
