I'm watching One Tree Hill (don't judge) on ITV Hub just now and it's showing me the trailer for House of the Dragon at EVERY advert break. It feels like torture as I just want to watch the whole thing right now! Monday feels like such a long way away and even then it's only one more episode

Hey all!

First time poster on tattle, just plopping myself here to enjoy some GoT/HoTD chat.

I am a massive fan of GoT, was really disappointed in the drop in quality of the show, but I'm ready to be hurt again!

Dracarys baby!!
Welcome!

OT but I love it when someone on here has an Isa pfp. PEOPLE HUV TAE KNOW. 😂

Back on topic, I’m not sure I can go back to this waiting for an episode per week thing again, but equally can’t bring myself to wait and binge either. 😩

I absolutely loved it!
The age thing made me cringe my partner walked in and went euuuugh she looked the same age as my daughter. Even the king looked disgusted and when the she says "my mother says I won't have to bed you until I'm 14" broke my heart.

It's so sad that Rhaenyra and Alicents relationship will disintegrate so much they seem so close. Matt Smith is my favourite actor he plays Daemon so well it's like he was made to play a mad Targaryen. I was wrong about him.

The dragons do look incredible, but Drogon will forever be my heart!

It is definitely easier to follow than early game of thrones, mainly since there aren't as many houses or characters involved. I think we also benefit from the acquired knowledge about how things generally work in that world too.

Either way, I love the familiarity and outright brutality so far.

Honorable mention for the costumes/props and the locations we all know and love!

I'm excited

What a great start I'm really enjoying the series so far. Matt Smith is wonderful ❤️ (but I've always been a fan) and l also really like Lord Corlys. It seemed a missed opportunity that he didn't suggest marrying his son to the King's daughter thus ensuring they both secured the succession by uniting the two lines of the Targarian dynasty.

It wasn't really a surprise that the King would choose Alicent as his next wife over the daughter that was far too young.

Matt Smith's voice really doesn't fit Daemon's character, at all. It's actually quite distracting, it's so squeaky.

So far, the only ones I'm liking are the Dragons.
(If they stick to the novel, no one is worth rooting for in this serie and in that sense, they casted them well: no one is likable in the show either)
