I really like how the escalation into war starts because of mistakes. Aemond didn't actually want vhagar to kill Luke and the dragon wasn't listening to his commands. They try to make out dragons are loyal dogs they are not 🤣🤣. Rhaenyras face at the end really reminded me of Danys and the descent into the Targaryen madness. Absolutely great !!

like he has a war machine what did he think was gonna happen 🤣. Also please twll me everyone else are seeing the tiktok with vhagar having dementia 🤣

I actually prefer rings of power 🙈. All the time jumps ruined it for me with house of dragons
I didn't find the time jumps too bad. I feel they could have signposted who was who more clearly, but once I had established who they were, it was fine. I know they want to whip through and get to the war for season 2 but there were so many other stories to tell. Maybe the 10 years of kids growing up and babies isn't that interesting? I know my life of baby rhyme time followed by school run gossip interspersed with the drama of being late for the childminder and beach holidays in Wales was far less exciting than the previous 10 years, especially to other people 😄

Did anyone else think Aemond was morphing into a white walker with that sapphire eye!

Just watched the final episode 😱
I knew Lucerys would die with his dragon...but it really hit quite hard, I think seeing how small his dragon looked and how much they showed him as quite a gentle boy who's struggling with his fate! 😢Rhaenyra's "sweet boy"
Not entirely sure how I feel about them making it appear like Aemond didnt mean it?...it does add that element of "oh now hes fucked it" but on the other hand...what did he expect while riding his massive war machine of a dragon!!??

Also...I was somewhat undecided about childbirth, but after this show...no happening!

It's one of the only times I've thought they should've had a content warning at the start of the episode. Even though it's really violent most of the time, I know it's not real. Can't imagine how harrowing watching that birth scene would be if you've gone through a stillbirth.

oh I cant imagine...it was harrowing enough to watch!! Definitely should be a content warning!
when she was cradling her and wrapping her up!!😢 I though Emma D'Arcy was absolutely brilliant!

oh my god, the stillborn baby had me in tears. NowTV did such a tit job of a warning beforehand “contains distressing scenes” I was expecting gore and cocks/heads flying but I wasn’t expecting that. Absolutely heartbreaking.
I’m still trying to pick my jaw up from the ending. TWO years of waiting!! We will all be feeling like this when it starts again

I wonder if Emilia Clarke's high valyrian was supposed to be rubbish on purpose? At the start she seemed to put a lot of effort into making it sound imperfect as you'd expect for someone not raised surrounded in the culture. But other times she said it in a British accent with no attempt. Like here:

This always bugged me too! It’s such a contrast hearing it from the Targaryens in HotD in comparison.

Me too, I hated it and cried and I’ve not gone through that - imagine if you had! It felt too much imo.

It really feels like they're trying to make us hate Daemon. I understand that he's angry and frustrated but I just didn't buy the choking. Maybe grabbing her roughly or something, but not choking her like that.

Also I'm sorry, but I still love Aemond. Boy knows he done fucked up.
