For once in a long time now I don't absolutely hate the German entry, it's even played on the radio here and doesn't make me hit the mute button immediately. Still see it getting placed maybe second to last.

My all-time favorite song from Eurovision is 2013 Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love. It's so weird, the lyrics, her clothes but I just love it.

I Feed You My Love is a CLASSIC!!

Not really feeling the 2022 songs so far, I agree with an earlier poster - 2021 was an amazing year so maybe I just need to listen to this year’s songs again to get into them

First listen of all of the songs, and nothing really stood out for me, apart from the odd ones (hello Latvia, Moldova and Norway). San Marino were not at all inspired by last year's winners were they? A few of them will probably grow on me with more listens, I'm just glad that the UK song doesn't sound bad in the line up 🙌

OK I'm back having now watched the playlist of the full videos, and some of them have grown on me already.
Sooo many ballads, but the standouts for me are the Netherlands and Sweden.
I like Ukraine's chorus, but not the rapping. I like the rapper's pink hat though.
Is that Saffron Barker singing for Albania and Austria?
Don't get Serbia or why she's singing about Meghan Markle's hair 🤷‍♀️
Italy is a nice song but I don't know if it's a winner.
A different sound for France, and I like the Breton language.
Like the sass of Romania and Israel 💅
Nice folky vibes from Armenia, and I like how chill Portugal is.
Greece will do well I think. She looks like Lorde.
Moldova, I love you. One thing they can never be described as in Eurovision is dull
Norway, yum yum 🍌
I shouldn't like Latvia, but I do. That first line though 🥴
Really like how many countries are singing in their own languages this year.

There's a lot of 'nice', easy listening songs this year that are good to have on in the background, it will be interesting to see how they translate to the stage.

I think it's Sweden's to lose. I don't like the song, but a lot of people seem to. It'll probably top the juries and do well in the televote too. The performance gives winner vibes the way it's staged. I'm not getting those winner vibes off other entries, although that could change when we see the other entries final staging.

I like Georgia’s Circus Mircus and their song wasn’t on Spotify. Their video they covered over in protest at UKraine invasion. I also like France, Spain, the U.K., Czech, Austria and Norway.
I listened to Georgia and kind of liked it. It's a strange entry - the band seem to be anonymous and there's no performance or video available. For that reason I'm intrigued to see what it will look like when staged in Turin.

Just as an aside ... I was in the US last week and watched the first episode of American Song Contest. It's done by the people who do Eurovision and was meant to be all the US States and Territories competing against each other with original songs. Sound familiar? ;) I watched out of curiosity.

It was absolutely shocking and not in an ironic way either. When it got to a cowboy from Wyoming rapping about his new boots in a song called "New Boots Goofin' ... I bailed. 😱

I haven't seen it but heard poor reports. I had doubts over whether it would work, I think Eurovision has its own quirks and each country brings something unique to the table, I can see how the US version could be characterless.

I really like Germany's entry - reminds me of B.O.B. Airplanes, which is one of my favourite songs. Nothing spectacular and I suspect it won't score well but if I heard it on the radio I'd be happy!

Well. I have no words. I'm crying XD

100% agreement with this review. Latvia and Moldova can be relied upon for the quirky entry. San Marino absolute rip off of last years winner.

UK entry not the worst by any stretch. Quite like Austria and Israel.

I think she has chance to but I think she will place top 5. If any other country sent it there wouldn’t be as much hype. It’s a raspy woman singing a generic pop ballad which is definitely marmite and the staging is lacklustre.

Sweden has to be major favourite in order to win because a lot of countries will surprise with staging and we already know what we're going to get from Sweden. There’s always bias within the fandom but I really dislike how a lot of them are so toxic about other songs.

Other contenders for ballads are The Netherlands, Italy and Greece.

I wouldn’t underestimate Ukraine it’s uncertain how they will do in the jury but it could be a landslide victory in the televote.

I really hate to say it but the Swedish have been utterly insufferable in different internet circles this last week or so. They've been decidedly quiet for a few years now, but if anyone dares to call this year's entry boring or overrated they come and find you like a sniffer dog and call you out.
