Has anyone tried the Kiehls avocado eye cream? I’m thinking to buy it but it’s quite expensive so I want to hear some honest opinions before I spend any money

I liked it but wouldn't say it made a huge difference to me personally. I found it quite moisturising but I only repurchase when it's on offer. Good but probably better and cheaper available.

If you’ve got super sensitive, ultra dry skin it’s quite nice. It’s very moisturising. I would hunt a sample size on Vinted before shelling out for it though.

Following on from my makeup routine post… how on earth do you colour match Foundation/tints/concealer - even brow products? 😬 Looking at L’Oréal True Match potentially, as they offer quite a range!? ☺️

Put some tester onto your jawline not hand then go out into natural light

I hope this is the right place for this question. But as someone who is not remotely glamorous, I’m going to a wedding where the dress code is “cocktail dresses”. When I google cocktail dress it throws up what I would say are standard wedding guest dresses, or am I missing something. Or should I be rocking up to this wedding like some sort of Bond girl I’ve no idea
Yeah pretty much. For dresses it usually means nice and elegant but knee or past knee length rather than long formal gowns. If you are on Reddit, there is quite a helpful sub Reddit there called wedding attire approval

Anyone got any recommendations for hair products? I have very thick hair but it just looks so dry and lifeless! My hair used to be so soft I’m not sure what’s happened😢 I’m happy to spend money on make up/skin care but think I’ve been neglecting my poor hair😂

I have really thick hair too and I do a weekly treatment with this: Amazon product

leave it on under a towel for 30 mins and then rinse out.

I also take skin, hair & nails vitamins which seem to help.

I stan Temptalia. If your holy grail runs out and you need a dupe: https://www.temptalia.com/makeup-dupe-list/

In your case, you can use the foundation matrix: https://www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix/

And the best thing is that she works with %. So if you know what you are wearing now, you can see if another brand has a 100% match. Or see all the colours from a certain brand or range. It is the biggest makeup database I know

OK this is a bit of a random one but I have pcos which in turn makes me very hair especially on my face, stupidly a few years ago I shaved my chin and now I have to do it every day. My skin is getting sore, I've tried oils from super drug but not helped. Has anyone found anything that may help reduce the soreness and spots? Also any good make up to cover the five o clock shadow I have? I am looking and saving up for laser treatment but unfortunately can't have it just yet.

I have recently started electrolysis and it has worked wonders on my chin!
I have had 5 sessions approx £30 a session, Laser only works on dark hairs and mine can be a mixture of dark and also white but very coarse, so laser would have been a waste.
Electrolysis does hurt a little but, but numbing cream is helping greatly, I just dermaplan or trim between sessions but tbh the growth has really slowed down. I really recommend it and has helped me greatly!

Have you spoken to your doctor about medication? There are things like spironolactone which slow growth and prevent more growth (also helps with oily skin and thinning scalp hair).

Be careful with laser as you can get paradoxical growth - electrolysis is better if slower for hormonal hair. You need to shop around for a proper electro person, check reviews etc and do a proper consultation.

The spots are usually from ingrown so you need some gentle exfoliation (a gentle BHA for example, nicinamide is good for any hyperpigmentation after spots), light moisturisers and SPF. Peach corrector is best for shadowing if you are medium to fair skinned ( shadowing of eyes or hair - often used by transwomen under foundation). There are darker toned correctors if you are medium to dark. Try and reduce make up time to prevent clogging.

I don’t have PCOS but have hormonal acne and have found spearmint tea twice a day helps keep it under control, it is supposed to help your body naturally reduce androgen levels so you might find it helps with the excess facial hair too!

I have terrible facial hair on my chin, nothing gets rid of it.

So am going to try this.

Literally drinking spearmint tea right now haha...I've been making a concerted effort recently and tried to have 1 cup a day, I think I've noticed a modest improvement but my acne is awful right now (I have pcos too if it wasn't clear lol). I'm just about to start spironolactone which I'm really excited about, I've seen so many success stories from skin like mine!

Where are you all buying spearmint tea from?
I couldn’t find it in the supermarket or health shop.

I’m going to look into electrolysis as fed up of this chin hair and shaving daily.
