Didn't Kevin use to be used in a derogatory way for men? I remember it because its my exes name and made me snigger
Well THAT'S a game changer! I had never heard that. Thanks for sharing

I'm not a massive fan of the term myself, but it's only really applied to women who are over entitled and complain for no reason, not those who have a genuine grievance. For example, someone who wants to return an item to a shop for a refund but doesn't have a receipt and has probably worn it - then goes on a massive rant at the employee. It's been many years since I worked in retail, but I can still remember dealing with idiots like that.
The vast majority of people - men or women - don't act like that.
I’ve not heard it used in that way for ages. It started out being used in this way yes, but in some spaces (here, Twitter) it seems to have become synonymous with ‘you have an opinion I don’t like’. I find it really sexist because it’s saying that women can’t be ‘entitled’ or loud mouthed in the way men can be. Get back in your place, Karen, type thing.
that advert makes me never want to book a holiday with on the beach..same with Jet 2!They’re advertising to their target market…thick, fat English people who make an arse of themselves on foreign holidays.
Yes but I think what the op was saying whether your working or not and you are in a council home you should live with in your means , the council does not owe you a duty “just cause” you want more children , people who own or private rent I imagine really factor in this decision due to the costs involved , where as council tenants (I am one by the way and work full time ) “generally” feel entitled to be housed into bigger properties due to their ever expanding families but due to the lack of homes now it’s really starting to show effect that people can’t click their fingers like the generations before themIt really doesn't hold much weight nowadays, due to the housing shortage and the massive waiting lists. Having a young child doesn't bump you up the list like it used to.
That OP was a wild opinion. Essentially, council tenants must be poor & therefore shouldn't breed. Lets just ignore the many council & HA tenants who are working full time and were housed for other vulnerability or safeguarding concerns, eh.

My unpopular opinion is….
If you are applying for council housing then you should not be able to have more children and/or have a right to request a move to a bigger property.
Example!
My friends son is 18. Knocked his girlfriend up as they “wanted to start a family early”…. He’s an apprentice and she was a trainee. Truth of the matter is, both of them wanted to move out, couldn’t afford to, applied to the council and were told they didn’t score enough points for council property.
Therefore got pregnant, scored more points and ta dah! Got offered a 1 bed flat. She now doesn’t work as looking after the kid. 2 years later? She’s knocked up again and they’ve now applied for a bigger property. Want a house now due to the need for more bedrooms.
If you can’t afford to live within your means and require council housing then you should not be having more kids! You see it all the time on Facebook with some chav asking for an housing exchange as she’s expanding her role as “full time mummy” and needs a bigger council property.
To be honest, just sick of people having kids that they cannot afford in general to be honest.
Meanwhile my bf and I can’t afford to move out, work all hours and still live at home. Whose the mug here?!
I come from a working class background built our business from literally nothing , I was the teenage mum at 16 so I have been there , I don’t think it’s a class issue.I get that, but its always the looking down on people thing. Our biggest issue in the uk is classism and this is just another extension of it.
I work in social housing and tbh, imo, it should be the norm and the first port of call for housing people. However, I also dont believe tenants should be allowed to buy the property and they should be encouraged, if possible, to move into their own properties at some stage
I was under threat of being thrown out by my flatmate once and I went to the council to get out on the list.. they said are you pregnant/have kids/ junkie/alcoholic/asylum seeker? No . Well we won't do anything for you. mind you this was a few years agoDo people still get council houses because they’re having/have children? I thought that stopped a while ago.
I'm not sure there's a universally agreed term for men who act like that, but 'head' is probably the most common one and certainly one I'd use.Unless there is a term of equal degradation applied to "over entitled" men it's a form of sexism. Sexism - as in any form of prejudice - is used to manipulate, demean and control. If we make excuses - for any form of prejudice - we have failed as a society
it was started off as that but know majority of people are very quick to use that term to try and putdown any woman (esp of a particular age) if they dare voice their opinion about something.
its definitely now used as term to belittle women and the fact that so many other girls/women are complicit in that is honestly sad.

I HATE the cold. I HATE the wind. I HATE the rain. I HATE winter.
Give me spring/summer all year round please. ☀
Agreed! I have nothing in common with people who love autumn / winter. Each year I get a little more enraged as people cheer for cold and snow ...
I have a friend who once lived in California and she said it was "like being in a bio-dome" as it was hot and sunny all year round with little to no seasonal variation. She said this was bad for her mental health, I personally would love it
Ive noticed a lot of this recently in regards to these monster “parents”. They don’t deserve sympathy. However there seems to be a lot of “support” for the cretin who gave birth to Star Hobson I’ve noticed.
