So I don't follow any of this lot, but Daisy's latest piece in the Guardian is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. It's ostensibly about how she realised her husband was the one when less than a year after getting together he gifted her 'one simple, heartfelt gift to show me he was the one' - a book. Sounds nice and sweet. It's a first edition of The Pursuit of Love. A quick google suggests the cost of one is upwards of £750. So, maybe a nice thought but ultimately the sort of gift that only someone minted can give. All just a bit baggy dressed up as something that's supposed to be sweet.

Eeuww just read it - possibly one of the most nauseating things I've ever read. Could anyone find themselves quite so fascinating?

A bit offtopic and referring to a post on the old Dolly/Pandora thread from user JenMarks who recommended the podcast Londongrad--I stuck it in my podcast queue but just got around to listening to it the other day and it was PHENOMENAL, thank you for recommendation! I am flabbergasted by the complete lack of media coverage on this podcast (far more interesting than Tortoise Media's hit from last year, Sweet Bobby), but given the references to all the newspapers the Lebedevs acquired (London Evening Standard, the Independent), and the terrible collusion of the Rothermere cartel (Daily Mail), not v surprising. Everyone is sullied by that KGB money, even Tatler.
(We were talking about swimwear line Hunza G and I mentioned that its founder Georgiana Huddart, a childhood friend of Pandy's, and Huddart's mom Bella H seemed to have done interior design work for the Lebedevs. Not surprisingly, both Huddart instagrams are now quietly firmly locked away from our prying eyes.)

Ha, glad you liked. Their latest podcast, The Tavistock, is absolutely brilliant too. I know gender can be a very divisive topic, but I'd recommend it to anyone.
I’m 3 episodes in to the Tavistock, thank you for the recommendation, it is indeed brilliant. Superbly researched and presented.

I heard Annie Mac interviewed on Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett's (excellent) podcast this week and she was talking about recently completing her second novel.

She said it was currently with some 'friends' who were reading it with a view to providing a quote for the cover. Can we hazard a guess that these 'friends' will include Dolly Alderton, Daisy Buchanan, Pandora Sykes and Marian Keyes?
