The sound on Caroline O'Donoghue's podcast is shocking this week. She goes from practically whispering to screeching laughing. I had to switch off.
I thought the same, Caroline’s microphone seemed to be low, I could hear Monica fine.

I’ve just finished listening to the latest episode of Youre Booked and I can’t believe DB’s experience of writing her last novel. She is describing it as absolutely agonising and how difficult it was and how she had to write and rewrite and edit and worry and stress so much about it. I’ve read the book, it’s a solid 3/5 chick lit book masquerading as lit fic. Feel like she needs to stop taking herself so seriously, shes hardly writing some sort of canonical text for the age. When writers talk about how painful and difficult their jobs are, I just have to roll my eyes. My sister is a nurse, try her job for a day and then appreciate what you have!

The irony of this tweet coming from one of the Luvvies 😂

You liked it tho 😂 it’s okay I like lots of things just to bookmark
Otegha’s one of the more bearable luvvies I think, still a luvvie but she gives a more balanced view on things than the blonde bubble

Half-price Hannah 🛑 Even Ghosts clung to the bestseller list for a bit…

Have I missed an announcement somewhere about Hannah-Dolly retiring from her "Ask Dolly" weekly advice column in the Sunday Times? It's not in today's paper (Yes, will admit I love some of the letters, like the man who had kept track of how many times he and his wife had had sex over the years; his query was, 'How do I get her to make the first move more often?')

Maybe she’s just on holiday, sure we’d get a drawn out post :)

Can we talk about Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett the Guardian columnist? She gets paid to write such utter bilge, like how owning lots of books is snobbish and middle class when all she ever does is write CiF articles that make her seem snobbish and middle class. Idk how she spun the vagenda (an awful blog about why shaving your pubes isn't feminist and other important issues) into a career as a columnist, who is a fan? who buys her books? baffling

I had to unfollow her on Twitter when all of her tweets became miserable mum/baby tweets. So tiresome. I also don't understand the point of that article. She complains that people who own loads of books are smug, then sounds smug herself talking about how she gives them away and the whole thing with her Buddhist husband not becoming attached to items? So much virtue signaling!

I love the Guardian but can't stand her columns. Every single one is her moaning or bragging about her baby. Why don't journos understand their kids are just not that interesting to other people??

This is probably a whole other debate but I just don't understand these people in the public eye who overshare SO much about their children. Whether it's Twitter, Instagram, podcasts, YouTube, someday their kids are going to grow up and see it all. I'm so so pleased none of that was around when I was a baby :ROFLMAO:
