Got my BFP this evening at 14dpo. I was due my period today but it didn’t arrive so I ran to the pharmacy. I was shaking like a leaf doing the test. I genuinely felt like my period was coming all week but I guess it was just cramping! So nervous but so excited for this next chapter. Sending everyone love & baby dust 🫶

Apologies in advance if this is tmi or a really daft question, I'm currently in the middle of the waiting window between my fertile days and my period being due, and today I've been needing to wee constantly, there's no burning and it's not tiny amounts, but the last couple times there has been pinkish colour after I've wiped. Can this be an early sign of pregnancy or have I just got myself a lovely old UTI or the likes?! 🙈

could it possibly be implantation bleeding?

I ended up with a UTI in my last waiting window, I think Mr DragName and I had too much sex 🤣🤣. It didn’t feel like cystitis at first so I went for about 4 days until it really did feel like cystitis and there was a reasonable amount of blood, then I got antibiotics. It’s not something that’s ever happened to me before as a probably result of having a decent amount of sex, but I’ve had a year where my body has done everything it possibly can to rebel against me so I’m not really that surprised!

Are we living the same life?! Literally the exact same thing happened to me last cycle 😂

Oh jeez, I'm on holiday until Friday morning so I really hope I don't end up needing antibiotics 🤦🏻‍♀️

Same here. Got my mirena removed over 4 weeks ago. We have said we’re ‘not not trying’ rather than ‘actively trying’ but I’ve already become addicted to testing my LH levels and working out when my fertile window is. I feel like with (roughly) one shot a month we need to make the most of it (particularly as this is our first and we’re mid 30s) and I can easily see myself becoming fixated by TTC.
Hello all! 😊 I hope you don’t mind me joining, I’m having my copper coil removed on Thursday to start TTC. I’m very new to it all, don’t quite know where to start but I’m hugely aware it often doesn’t come to people as easily as some would believe. Sending positive baby energy and hugs to you all x

hopefully it’s something else happening to you! I was going to say it can’t hurt to drink lots of water to flush anything out but I know the trauma of doing that and then needing to pee even more!

This is absolutely how I started out when my Mirena was removed in May and absolutely how I am now. My LH seems to be getting lower (but has never been anything but low) as I head towards my supposed ovulation date. I think I’m going to get the Hertility test done just to see what insights it can give me.

This is the approach we’re going to take too, trying not to put too much stress on it but think I will likely be obsessively checking my LH levels too 🤣 has your cycle retuned (at least somewhat) to normal now after having your mirena removed? X

It’s reassuring to read the messages and know others are in the same boat. Essay incoming…

Re my cycle it’s hard to tell at the moment tbh. I had a withdrawal bleed after getting mirena removed.

I started tracking LH about a week after removal (when I realised it was a thing along with taking folic acid - yes, I wasn’t clued up re TTC before!). It was showing as low each day and then staying a night at my parents (solo) im fairly certain it was positive - two strong dark lines. I had to give my mum a heads up and tell her it was an ovulation test in the bin before she got too excited.

(My partner and I had actually had sex the morning before and I strongly encouraged it that evening when I got back - ngl the ‘we need to copulate’ was a real buzz kill for me and im not exactly looking forward to that weird awkwardness next cycle - so advice welcomed!)

I’ve felt horrendously bloated since coming off mirena. I can’t be certain it’s that but I also can’t point to anything else. I absolutely loved being on it (no monthly bleed for c7 years and for me that was the dream). After one short withdrawal bleed I'm already over getting a period. Going to invest in some period pants and hope that changes my outlook.

They only usually give you three days worth of antibiotics as they are quite strong. If I were you I would start taking the cystitis sachets now until you can get antibiotics. Call 111 and get some if you are in the UK explain that you think you have a UTI and your symptoms. They get prescribed over the phone and you could start taking them today. And be feeling well again long before Friday..have a great holiday.

Thanks ladies! I feel miles better this morning so either I got lucky and it was just a strange 12 hour passing thing, or maybe I've got lucky in a totally different way?! It got really bad late last night were I was rushing for a wee every 20 mins and there seemed to be more blood rather than the pink earlier that afternoon, but this morning it's almost completely gone 🤷🏻‍♀️
All the doctors here in Cyprus seem to be closed on Sundays so I'm really hoping I am okay!
Much love and positive vibes to you all x

Mine was removed in May and I had my first period in mid July. I had 2 Mirena coils back to back over 13 years (yeah, one of them was in way too long, whoops) and after the initial insertion of the first one settled down, had nothing except the odd bit of spotting over those years. I’ve been a 35/36 day cycle since but it’s obviously still quite early days!

I quite like the Flowette period pants. I bought a selection of their different types along with a cup as I was a Mooncup user before the mirena - the ‘maxi’ pants for night time do feel a bit like you’re wearing a nappy, but the others I really like.

Flo and Premom have me in the ovulation window. My boobs are incredibly tender, my skin is a disaster. My easy@home ovulation tests can barely get above 0.2, though. I keep meaning to do BBT but forgetting.

Do I just stick with twice daily ovulation tests? Whilst I know Flo and Premom are just making ‘intelligent’ (or maybe not!) guesses, Premom thinks I’ll ovulate in 3 days and Flo in 2, but the tests suggest absolutely nothing is happening at all.

This all seems a lot more complicated and like a full time job by itself than I expected it to! It’s a miracle anyone ever gets pregnant tbh…

I’m no expert as I’ve only been doing OPK’s for 3 cycles, BUT just to reassure you… my tests go from very low to high within a very short space of time! Here is a handy link that explains it all! https://premom.com/blogs/how-to-use-ovulation-tests/surges-and-peaks-gradual-onset

Honestly, thank you so much. I catastrophise so quickly but my tests look a lot like the ‘low’ ones. I probably should have started my testing a lot earlier than I did as well, I might have missed the peak! Thanks again.

Mine go from barely there to a strong line in hours. I always ovulate later than the predictions too. Just keep testing and you’ll start to see what’s normal for you. I don’t think there’s any ‘normal’ that applies across the board in this whole process so it’s very much a case of trial and error until patterns emerge. 18 months in and I’m still learning new things about my cycles.
