Travel Vloggers and VanLifers

Oh gawd don't put that swingers thought in my head🤣
Def something odd about them though. Agree, constant brag, older kids don't want to be filmed (they have mentioned this). Youngest is a chip of his dad's block so likes to show off.
I watched their road trip to Croatia last year as they do go the road less travelled by the rest of the van life pack. But got so pissed off it was always her doing the laundry, the cooking and then having to log on to work do payroll etc. It's her holiday too and I believe it was work for their family business yet he sat there the lazy lump while she did everything. Kids didn't seem to help much either.
I can’t unthink that thought of them with a pineapple 🍍 out on campsite! 🤢

I only recently knew about the pineapple thing, I thought it was pampas grass but I guess that's not very portable!

Ok, who's seen the Beans new vlog looking at what appears to be really remote over grown total ruins in huge plots in Portugal? There's no way they could be serious about taking such a huge project on with a new born and no building or language should. I'm sure it's just for the views as it's opposite to ask the talk of heading out to the van in the US etc Lots of the comments say take the rose tinted glasses off, and also that people like them for travel and don't want yet another renovation channel.

They seem to panic now that the reality of a child on the road has set in. A few vlogs ago they said they can't afford a bigger car than the tiny one they have and now they want to buy land and build a home somewhere abroad where they have neither family nor a community nearby for support?

I've just started watching the roaming Radford's and I'm just not sure about them.i feel sorry for their kids, one video she was happily chatting away but over her shoulder you could see one of their children who looked bored to tears,

Never seen them, and don't need more to watch, and I don't know their kids but learning to cope with boredom is something the current generation of kids aren't learning. As kids, we used to learn to find a way to entertain ourselves.

let the grifting begin. those two properties are going to be a money pit.
and we know Emma is going to be doing 90% of the work while Alex films.

the cheaper of the 2 properties could get them a decent sized car.

I think I heard them mention they wanted a place to be a home base come back to after or between travels. wonder how they are going to afford to travel, renovate and spend time with the baby.

Considering the trouble so many are experiencing after buying land, mainly getting a visa I think they are crazy.
I watch the Origin Homestead, a lovely couple who have to leave every three months and then return to almost start over with groundwork etc.
And look at the trouble the Wildlanders went through, nearly losing the lot.

Who are the Beans? What’s their insta?

I think the Travel Beans are in a panic. Having an infant and travel do not mix well, let alone being Van-Life travelers. I don’t know if the whole Portugal move is just trolling for views, or if they are serious. I skimmed the comments and there are a ton of them advising caution at trying to something of this scale instead just fixing up an existing home. I wondering if they are stalling for time until their son is a tad older to get to Frank in the States. Except Frank is bigger than their VW van but it isn’t a 25 foot plus Class C. I just have to wonder about these two (three) now. They just don’t seem to think ahead (realistically) that much.

If they want a home base, and they want to travel North America why not buy a place in the States. They have a place to stash their RV of whatever sort, and if they found some place that is has a lower cost of living they might make it work out. So they want to have family and a van in the U.K., a van in the U.S., and a project in Portugal. Alrighty then . . .

according to Social Blade, which I take with a grain of salt in terms of accuracy, doesn't show them making a ton of money on YouTube to make renovating or rather "building" in Portugal feasible.

Their stats on Playboard aren't encouraging either showing that they are on a downward trend and have been for a while.

They get decent views so it's weird.

Maybe Portugal is their hail mary to revive things?

These are only adsense evaluations though based on views which for most Youtubers are just a very small part of their income. Camper vibe, for example, have always said that the sponsorships are the main source of their income.
I don't think the Beans are making crazy money, but their videos get twice as many views as camper vibe who are doing extremely well financially.

fair enough. I don't usually pay attention to who's running sponsored ads as I zip past them and forget about them lol
