Travel Vloggers and VanLifers

1
Vanlifers that say ‘Build the life you love’ you’ve only got that life because of your followers, so don’t be rude in ignoring them on the socials!!! #clicky

I'd assume most of them had more money starting off than they lead on. but agreed, their followers are what maintains their ability to live the life they built.

am I a bit jealous that they live in a van? Nope.
I prefer being able to jump into a hot shower anytime of the day plus be clean crawling into a comfy bed anytime of the day without having to move half of the van before and after sleeping. lol

I love them personally! I think they’re so down to Earth and friendly and it’s so nice to see someone doing vanlife and just doing normal everyday things
I'm enjoying them too, lovely couple, and like you say doing normal everyday things, pub crawl one day, hike the next! I just really hope as they get more subscribers they don't change, their channel works as it is now.

I’ve always said the Roaming Radfords were sex people but I didn’t know about the pineapple 😂
I love Liam Brown, he’s brilliant, the way every single thing he takes with him is lightweight and super useful, you can learn a lot from him.
Watched the Kinging It India vlogs but she makes me feel nervous, which makes sense now I know she has severe anxiety.
We also watch Paul Messner, mainly to laugh ngl but some of his gear comparisons are really good. He’s kind of a hiking/camping vlog but sometimes he’s about 5 mins walk from the car park. When he pushes himself and goes a bit further I quite like him and I‘m fat and middle-aged myself so I find him realistic. Whereas Liam Brown has serious knowledge, stamina and resilience. If Paul Messner can do something I could consider it myself.
We absolutely love Hell on Earth, not the urbex stuff but the hiking/kayaking/van stuff, they are hilarious and the videos are really well made.

Why do the Grabby Radfords have to be so rude! Maybe they would just like an answer and not have to sit through your tedious vlogs!

I mean if it's in the vlog, they probably want people to watch it vs not after telling them. But yeah, that's a bit of arrogance.

BTW, I can still see the redacted user name under the black bars plus it's not hard to find on IG since they have so few comments.

Does anyone watch Project Amber? Aka CJ & Lance ?

We love their channel, although on Pateron now his earlier stuff is still on You Tube.

Yes we watched him until he changed his Channel to Patreon. Loved his vlogs, felt like we were going through the highs and lows with him. Is Emma still there? Hope he does well and Lance is great.

The Beechwoods ( I know he works with LTT) , I ain't no prude, but blimey, their last vlog, all he done was slag off tourists ( I get that he's trying to be funny, but hey, you're one!) And swore, alot.

I believe he is still with Emma but his latest videos, he has been travelling alone. However I do follow them on IG and they both seem to be on the land they bought in Portugal. (Vlogs are a few months behind)

His vlogs are still the same....the highs and lows and Lance is still Lance! Loves a good ball and walk!

Any bets on the big camper vibe secret that has them driving all over England every day?
I wonder if they're looking at properties. Louise said at the start of the year that they want to buy a new house.

I’d bet money on a narrow boat. Seems like they’ve been bored of van life for a while and have talked of land, boats before etc. Narrowboats do well on YouTube which won’t have escaped their attention and it’s much better for AJ and Summer than a cramped van, especially now AJ is getting older. Think the only van life that’s interesting to watch now is those doing long term overlanding trips, not those traipsing around Europe with no end in sight. They’ve fallen into the later category recently and think they know from their stats that they need to shake things up a bit.

That is a good shout, and would tie in with selling the house if they plan to use it as their base with vanning on top. Which is exactly what Cruising the Cut/Vandemonium does. Although, is narrow boating as over congested with YouTubers as van life is? I'm not even into canal boats but have watched a fair few none of whose channel names I remember (some hippyish guy near London, a couple with a baby and cafe boat (?)). I also saw a lone female one which was so sad as her boat got wrecked by vandals.

I agree, I'm tired of slogs round mainstream Europe, that's something I can easily do myself. I want something inspirational, off the beaten track or unusual way of doing things (backpacking, bike packing). Spain/Italy/Norway trips sustained us through lockdowns but they are 10 a penny now.
Camper Vibe are very inventive though, enjoyed their vlog where they had to stay at the nearest park4night after a given time period. Although they did cheat a bit by deciding the first ones weren't good enough on a couple. It still made what would otherwise be a trek across the country into interesting content.

Oh, good shout. Hadn't even crossed my mind because it's usually the same path for all travel vloggers: one year van build, then 2-3 years van life and then buying a property and renovating it.
I guess we'll find out soon.

I forgot to say, I wondered if they were looking for a property with land to keep animals, esp rescue animals as they are very keen on animals. So the content would be about that. Would need a fair bit of money to set up though I guess.
