Travel Vloggers and VanLifers

1
Just spoken to Mr walkdengirl, he said it depends how it's listed in the accounts and he wouldn't be surprised if it's just down as a commercial vehicle not a motorhome. Mr taxman may only be interested if he puts the diesel receipts through the company and he would be a very silly man if he did that.

Does anyone else find them so click batey? And he’s always going from one made up crisis to the next ffs 🤦‍♀️

That video was cringe making in the extreme, I think everyone and his dog know what hello fresh is, and it's got nothing to do with traveling.

one thing that I have been pondering is the stuff they put links in the description for, are they affiliate links? (how do you tell?), Because if they are they should be declaring them.

they don't actually have that many followers do they? Maybe I should set a channel up, the wanderings of walkdengirl
They also don't declare the sponsored ads they get in the title - I'm sure they're meant to write AD but instead it just cuts to some weirdly flirty bit with Lyndsay doing her best sales pitch.

We noticed this aswell, wonder who the new car and the Tesla's are registered to.
Also who paid for all the ungrades.
I think we can guess 🤣. Also what an absolutely crap name for a company is Yowzer. And as for the branded items they've made themselves that they genuinely wear like the awful Roaming Radfords hats they had in earlier videos, I have no words. They're like a middle class walking Studio catalogue. They must get so many sniggers behind their backs. We saw them filming themselves at a cookery stand at the NEC show. They looked utterly ridiculous.

I haven't watched Roaming Radford's in about a year but I succumbed to their clickbait title"we crashed the motorhome in Morocco". Hardly crashed, they've scraped the side driving into a car park, annoying yes but hardly catastrophic. He then went on to multiple times moan about the guys trying to guide him in, thought if he'd been left to himself it would never happen. Well, he was the one in charge of the vehicle, he didn't have to follow their instructions so it's on him either way. Such a tosser, don't drive such a ridiculous sized van if it's going to be awkward to navigate.
He did the same last year, scraped the underside of the van driving into a car park as it was too long to negotiate a ramp. Had no one to blame but himself that time.

In other news, OMG, I went for a walk yesterday and on the balcony of a flat there was an upside pineapple hanging out😮 it is in such an odd spot, on the outside of the balcony, I can only guess it means what I learnt in here😆

How lucky are the expawers being given that van!
I've enjoyed their vlogs travelling from Spain to Germany with the doggies, but how scary was it when they got pulled over in Germany and Nick had to do a urine test in front of police?
Were they actually given the van or did they buy it? I thought they fudged over that detail 🤔

The radfords morocco's vids are kid of persuading me to add it to my list. The new zeltand man looked atizard steve with hatred.

The rucks kne min they in italy then next oh we got a house van busdiness is bit quick like their vids are months behind of normal tome

As soon as Camper vibe said they had sold their house I knew it was going to be the start of them selling out. I get that they want to make a living from it, and unlike some they actually make an effort, but when every video is just one long advert I switch off.

The authenticity which made them good in the first place has gone. Camper vibe died.

Very disappointed that camper vibe are now trying to scam their followers too with these sneaky ads. They hid the paid partnership in a grey font that wasn't readable for half the reel and don't mention it being an ad in the description either.

This must have been a glitch on IG. The paid partnership note is controlled by IG, they can not grey the wording out. When they post, in their settings there is a toggle to click to advise its a paid partnership. Similar to you tube.

I'm not up on ASA rulings etc but I do think there should be an AD in the caption. Could be wrong but I think it should be there in case you missed the paid partnership bit at the top.

It's a lack of consistency. The reel says paid partnership but a post makes no mention of it yet they're both about the ferry trip. It needs to be clear on both. Across all platforms *cough Facebook cough*.

I've never seen a caption on a paid partnership that wasn't marked as an ad, so either everyone else is transparent and honest or it's the law. Which it should be. Every follower should be aware that they're reading an advertisement and not someone's honest opinion.

They also used the reel material in their stories the day before with no ad sign. The way they talked sounded like they were reading a press release, so I was instantly suspicious but gave them the benefit of the doubt just to be disappointed.

Truth is they all make huge amounts of money and it ruins them :
Indie Projects
Trent and Allie
Eamon and Bec (although I'm excusing them because she has been through so much and I still watch occasionally.)
There are others, feel free to add.
Not many new up and coming though.
I do like Jammy Gits and Lost in Transit but they are just kids.
All time best for me are Overlanding Sophia but there are none I look forward to watching that much anymore, even The Expawers have gotten boring.
