So I guess it became clear why she wears all these coats, she is still a bit chunky from giving birth recently and probably wanted to cover it up.

And Andrew now wants to start fighting the allegations.

To be fair, I doubt that Virginia would win in a criminal court, the civil claim is a way to get some money.

My guess at this stage is that I think that they will settle on the basis that a statement is released that essentially says Andrew didn't commit a crime.

The trouble with these kinds of conversations is that it is almost impossible to seperate fact and fiction.

I read this extract, which to me says that a spokesman from Elephants without borders has confirmed that they didnt receive any monies from the Duchess.
So maybe she did work for free. Personally thats fine by me, she was at the time being supported by the BRF, so didnt need the money, but it was claimed by someone that she di

What is the source for this extract?
I like to lurk on the Tom Hiddleston thread, and I can't understand how the same people find both Tom Ellis and Tom Hiddleston attractive! Tom Ellis is hot 🔥

Umm excuse me but Tom Hiddleston is hot too.

Where did this extract come from?

😄 Good actor but not my type! I do have too narrow a type- all my boyfriends and my husband had/ have dark hair and dsrk brown eyes and stubble/ beards.I've never been out with anyone under 6ft either, even though I'm a short arse! Probably why I had slim pickings in my 20's :D :D

Wearing clothes that expensive to a school where kids don’t have food at home? So unbelievably tone deaf and out of touch with reality.
They all do it though, it’s not just exclusive to Meghan.

So I guess it became clear why she wears all these coats, she is still a bit chunky from giving birth recently
I know you dislike her but having a go at her for not losing her baby weight is a bit harsh.

She's 5ft 6 so maybe 167-168 cm, not Amazonian but hardly tiny.
I read that as her being quite slim and not short. I think she’s average height but because she’s got a smaller figure, oversized clothes can swamp her.

she isn’t a poor victim to her black hair/racism because she cannot help it.
What do you mean here? I agree though that if these charities want to invite her and Harry then it’s up to them. They are still Royals and maybe inviting them to their events gives it a bit of kudos, who knows.

@thegirlscout everytime someone criticised her hairstyle as untidy (open hair in windy situations, messy bun, wedding hair) people jumped into them claiming they are racist because her hair is just harder to style, BIPOC hair doesn’t adhere to white beauty standards, classic BIPOC hairstyles were seen as bad/untidy … which all not untrue. Well, maybe the first one. Most people struggle with their hair in one way or the other. But they completely ignored that before her relationship with H her hair always looked fine or racism was never implied if someone didn’t like her hairstyle. Why her hair would act differently after being in a relationship is beyond me. Struggling to adapt to hair behaving a bit differently in another climate is one thing that I can see. People bitching about messy buns just for the sake of bitching another (I loved them and wish Kate would try it). Realising that “light” wind in the UK can really mess up your hairstyle and that the royal watching community does not excuse that is something Kate had to learn as well.
It was one of the situations were people screamed racism when it was only normal gossip, not singular exclusively to her and there were plenty of good explanations why her hairstyle didn’t work.

She used to have quite curly hair and I think from processing it a lot over a few decades it’s become damaged and that’s what’s contributing it or looking damaged. From my understanding, black hair is quite delicate and to get her hair that straight would cause serious damage to it. I would really love her to embrace her natural curls, I think it would really suit her and, on a personal note, I really like curls.
I see what you mean. To be fair I never followed her before Harry so not sure if she had a lot of commentary on her hair then. I think she just doesn’t like to style it or doesn’t know how to (me neither, I’m useless with my hair!)? Or maybe it’s a comfort blanket to want to have it on a bun all the time?
I personally think she looks best when she has some face framing pieces when she wears her hair in a bun. But I’d like to see her with shorter hair and sleek waves, I think that looks nice on her. Or in Suits, I think in her final scenes she wore her hair long, blunt but very straight and behind her ears? That looked really nice on her too.

I like the way her hair looks in her childhood photographs and I wish too that she would go back to her natural hair as it would send a strong message. Constantly processing your hair does damage it and it's something that many black women do. I'm white with lightly wavy hair but there's plenty of evidence that black women are constantly criticised for natural hair being "unprofessional" in the UK and it's far worse in the USA; even the US Army forbids natural hairstyles that keep the hair short and tidy such as corn rows and twists. Many black women resort to wigs or processing to fit in with the idea that 'professional' hair is as close to white women's hair as possible. Black and multiracial actresses in US film and television have spoken about problems arising with their hair; Shalita Grant was quite open about the damage caused to her hair by NCIS New Orleans producers insisting that her natural curl be 'relaxed' until it starting breaking off. No wonder that Meghan felt that she needed to straighten her hair for her acting career (see also Michelle Obama in law); now everyone knows her with her hair as it is now she probably feels that she has to keep it (and maybe she likes it), possibly together with internalising the shaming of black women's hair in the USA. I really hope that she one day feels that she doesn't have to continue processing it and that Archie and Lili can proudly wear whatever kind of hair they have inherited from both parents and all four grandparents.

As someone who has curly hair, I can say that I don’t think it’s just Bipoc women who get discriminated against for curly hair.

I learnt very early on that if I went for an interview with my naturally curly hair, I was never called back. If I straightened my hair, i was invited back.

it might be coincidental but I’ve also been for A LOT of interviews in my time to drawn my own conclusions

I have naturally curly hair too, and agree with you. It almost always looks messy. I hate straightening it though, because I don't feel like 'me' anymore.

It was my understanding that the British press don’t take photos of underage Royal children or intrude on their private lives so it’s curious that this photo has been released, today, just after Meghan and Harry were seen in New York and Meghan was lambasted about her expensive wardrobe. Reminds me of when the Sussexes were dragged through the press for preaching about saving the world but flew on a private plane several times within the space of a week or so and then the Cambridge’s just happened to be photographed as a family coming off an easy Jet plane or something.
These PR exercises are so transparent 🤦‍♀️

I wonder if this is the pub in Buckleberry. The landlord went to their wedding.

Very transparent.

In other news Sophie and Edward are touring Northern Ireland. I usually like everything Sophie wears but I'm not sure I like this dress. The sleeves look weird.

It’s not so simple. We have seen quite a few snippets over the years. At polo or other private outings. I think it is about not harassing them, especially when they are without their parents, following to school especially when they are older/at uni. But there are some of those “private” shots every year. I don’t think it has much to do with the ex-pats, but more with the fact they are back in London and that they have been more out and about with the kids in the last years. I think the Cambs and the press have found a balance. Live and let live. And that’s why we see them more relaxed in that regard. It slowly started after Charlotte iirc. The fact that they can do no wrong at the moment might help. When the tide turns we might see another angry Wiliam hiding his children and lecturing the press.
It’s also unclear if it’s a pap shot or from a private citizen. Even though lean towards professional lense in that case.

There were a few pictures a couple weeks ago of Kate taking George and Charlotte shopping and another day taking them to school, both from an Italian magazine as well. Think the foreign press don’t really have a reason to respect the gentleman’s agreement the family have with our press.

If it isn’t PR they should probably try nipping it in the bum now, because 3 intrusions on the kids in 2 weeks could set a precedent they don’t want.

The latest pic was taken by The Sun. The timing is too obvious to be a conicidence imo.

just happened to be photographed as a family coming off an easy Jet plane or something.

It was a Flybe plane and it was later exposed as a PR stunt. The commercial plane had to be re-directed to pick them up and it had no passengers on it.

Empty jets flown 500 miles to pick up Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for Aberdeen visit

Two empty jets flew some 500 miles to form part of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's journey to Aberdeen.

William and Kate were earlier this week praised for using an economy flight from Norwich with their two children, with many comparing it to Prince Harry and Meghan's private jet trips.

But in information obtained by The Scotsman, it is understood the empty flights made by the two 49-seat aircraft on behalf of Flybe cost around four tonnes of carbon.

According to an aviation source close to the situation, the plane which normally flies the route, Loganair, had been replaced by a Flybe-branded aircraft to 'maximise press coverage' for the company.

Flight logs show that the plane flew 123 miles down to Norfolk - and its identification number EZE041P reportedly indicated it was empty.

Loganair's own Embraer plane then flew empty some 400 miles from Norwich to Aberdeen, to operate the next flight back to Norwich.

Yes I live near there. It was diverted just as a piece of sibling rivalry to show up Harry. Who does that? It wouldn't surprise me if the pub photos are the same. Harry isn't even in the RF anymore and his brother is still being petty!

Wasn’t that a PR stunt by the airline? The Airline knew they were going to be on the flight and wanted the Flybe logo on display. They were getting on a commercial flight either way, whether it was LoganAir or FlyBe doesn’t really change anything.
