The Last of Us - HBO & Sky Atlantic

I thought Episode 6 was fantastic. The writing was practically flawless and I don’t say that lightly!

The way they built the tension over the last two episodes RE the absence infected was particularly great. It started right off with the sinkhole in episode 4 and within ten minutes of this episode I was a nervous wreck waiting for them to show up. I also liked how suddenly, Kathleen’s ruthlessness with informers made perfect sense, not just with everything FEDRA had done over the past 20 years but with how her brother died because he was told on. I loved the show’s rendition of Henry and Sam so much, too.

Just watched the latest episode…oh.my.CHRIST!! What have I just watched 😅 amazing. There are no words!
the end was totally heartbreaking and I didn’t see it coming…. My little baby is called sam so I was like 😩😩😩😩😩! Can’t stop thinking about him and Henry.
Honestly it's heartbreaking.

But i actually found it sadder in the game. You spend so much more time with then in the game. And at one point you have to protect just Sam after everyone gets separated.

Started watching this a week or so ago with no idea what it was about. Enjoying it so much and loving that its not "just" a zombie kill-fest. Episode 3 absolutely broke me, I was bawling - it was so unexpected (for me) and so beautifully done, up there with the best TV I've ever watched. The latest episode was also a real rollercoaster and I can't wait to see what happens next. Well done HBO.

I don’t know the game at all, but agree if we’d known the characters more and spent more episodes with them I think it would have been even sadder for sure.

I’m LOVING this so far. It feels like you’re listening to and watching the game but you’re also watching a series if that makes sense, I think the music has a lot to do with it as well. The casting is spot on. Love the intro, very Game of Thrones/House of Dragon

I'm a massive fan of the game and was scared that the TV adaptation was going to be awful but I have been very pleasantly surprised. I can honestly say this is the first time I have been gripped by a series straight away.
I agree!

Iv played both games quite a few times. And got attached to the characters.
So I was excited but cautious about the series and who they would cast
But I honestly love it.

Interesting you say this, because the title music was bugging the life out of me, couldn’t place where I’d heard similar. Upon Googling it turns out the composer is the same one who did Making A Murderer and it’s similar to that!
So yeah…random wee fact there for ya!
