The Last of Us - HBO & Sky Atlantic

Has anyone seen the tiktoks of Pedro from the film the unbearable weight of massive talent?
I honestly can't believe it's the same guy when he does the smile in the car. Makes me laugh everytime 🤣🤣

YES 😂 he's so goofy and adorable. My tiktok is 95% Papa Pedro. Him doing the SNL voice with Seth Meyers is brilliant as well "Oh ma gaaad, I can' believe he daaaard, what's gonna happan naxt" 🤣

I know it’s been six hours of screentime and I am big on the backstory thing but I wish there’d been a little more present-day action before we had that flashback episode. Maybe they were restricted on episode count etc. but I feel it would’ve been better if we’d have seen more of Ellie trying to fend for herself, dragging Joel to a safe place etc.. Maybe we could’ve seen it cut up a little more, like woven between present day and the flashback. It could’ve even started a couple episodes back, like maybe some hints here and there to what was covered in a big block this episode

I love a good backstory episode but I feel a bit overloaded on them atm. It felt a tiny bit filler-y when really what happened was pretty significant. This is me nitpicking though. It was beautifully acted as always, very tense, well shot etc.. Ellie is growing on me every episode.

How is my man Pedro single though?

I have a feeling if he has a partner it'll be kept quiet since he's everyone's crush and a sex symbol.

As much as I did enjoy the adaptation of Left Behind I do sort of agree it was a lot, we're nearing the end and I want more Joel and Ellie. I sort of wonder if they could split the second game into 2 seasons? It's SO MUCH story and unless they extend the episode count it's hard to see all of it being condensed.

They couldn't show Ellie fending for herself more than she does in the game. And we'll see that in the next episode. I'd hate if they went too off script in terms of the game. I have a feeling the David section will be rushed, which I'm not huge on. Ellie not trusting him, to trusting him to finding out his actual intentions with her was so well done in the game, That I don't think they can do it justice. This should have been flashbacks, tbh. Yeah.

I enjoyed the Ellie & Riley episode and didn’t think of it as filler. It explored Ellie’s character and gave a bit more context to her situation and who she is. Not forgetting that it’s the moment that started all this.

Thought the acting was brilliant especially Ellie’s reaction to getting bitten vs Riley’s. It stayed very faithful to the dlc it is based on apart from a few very minor changes. I’m now fully convinced that Bella is TV Ellie. She’s brilliant. Storm Reid as Riley was also brilliant. They’re both very talented young actors.

Can’t wait to see Troy Baker’s appearance in the next episode. I’m loving how they got some of the cast from the games in to play side roles and one person reprising their original role from the game. It’s a fun Easter egg for fans of the game and so far they’ve all been amazing in their roles.
