She intends to take legal action against the supplement company.

It's weird that they accept the substance contained a contaminant but ban her for 4 years.

Is Serena's "8" tweet a reference to her?

I think so - implying she would have won an 8th Wimbledon title since she lost to Halep in the 2019 final.
Honestly my eyes glaze over at some of the details - I hate to think she is guilty and the process seems to have been overlong but Halep sounds like every guilty athlete who ever doped but maintained their innocence.
However, Serena can take a seat with her ā€œ8thā€ title.
 
Is anyone watching Davis Cup? I enjoyed watching Jack Draper make his debut which he won and Dan Evans is serving for his match and has played well.

Andy is there but not sure if heā€™s going to play as he said heā€™s happy to just support the others.

I wanted to go watch but no one I know likes tennis ā˜¹ļø I bet theyā€™d suddenly be interested if I got lucky in the Wimbledon ballot. Iā€™m still thinking of just going alone on Sunday if I can still get a ticket

Oh yeah that's defo about the Wimbledon final she lost to Halep. I'm glad justice has been served and she's facing a long ban. I'm sick of these drug cheats whining in the media and playing the victim. It is never their fault, and they are all innocent, of course. My guess is she's been doing it for years but slipped up with the dosage and got caught.

I also wanted to go but I would really like to see Andy play, so I would be disappointed if on the day I went he didnā€™t play!
 


I know a lot of people donā€™t like Novak, but it seems foolish & naive to have your dad trash talking him to GQ, over what was just a joke/camaraderie when you only made your tour debut last year

Yeah, we all think Dkokā€™s a bit of a dick, but thereā€™s a difference between thinking it and saying it in the press.

Then again, Djokovicā€™s parents are pretty crass and used to goad Federer (only time Iā€™ve ever seen Roger lose his cool was when he got riled and asked them to shut up) when he was #1, so I guess itā€™s a rite of passage.

Itā€™s almost as if they wonā€™t let you play tennis unless your dadā€™s a bit of a knob, isnā€™t it? šŸ˜

Thereā€™ll never be another tennis friendship like Fedal šŸ˜­ I love what their initial rivalry became. If you ever watch Rogerā€˜s 73 questions Vogue interview, you just see the admiration when he answers the questions about who his most feared and his favorite opponent is šŸ˜
 
also only just saw all the actual team drama from the laver cup! apparent disagreement over whether they should be taking it seriously or not?
