To make up for slagging off Castle all week can I say I really love Andrew Cotter - love his accent and his wry humour.

Wimbledon will have Kyrgios commentating for them and I know!! he is a troubling man (I can’t help but like him - I hate myself for it) but his commentating was really illuminating at the US open I think it was as a recent player
I'd like Andy Roddick to do it. I'm sure he did it a few years ago and was good

These are the prices for 2024, I went a few years ago when I was living in the UK and it was worth it. Even the seats right at the front of the final go for £275 which considering everything is still very good value. USO tickets list price for the same is thousands.

How hard is it to get tickets though? You always have these lunatics camping overnight for tickets which suggests it's very hard.

My friend who lived in London always entered the ballot and was always lucky to get Centre Court tickets then another friend in London used to just turn up on the day and always managed to get a ticket.

You have to enter a lottery ages in advance then about a 7% (I'm told) chance you get selected to then buy the tickets if you want to get them months in advance. But i'd rather that and somewhat affordable tickets.

Here ticketmaster has a monopoly over everything with all their friends in Congress. They charge a fortune for all the tickets and encourage people to buy then resell again as they still get a cut on all the resales. Awful.

With wimbeldon you can turn up just before sunrise on the day and usually get a ticket to the showcourts (apparently).

Oof what a match to miss! Can I ask how much the tickets would have been? I’ll be entering the ballot again, super excited for my first wimbledon visit on day 1 😁
They were £230 each, right at the back. For that match and result though, absolutely worth it!
Hope you have the best time, it's a fab day out. 🙂

Looks like they've held the prices from last year.

In comparison the cheapest seats at the USO men's final for sale now are $582.50. Ashe is way too big, with way too many seats so you might as well stay at home for that or watch on the free screens in Hudson yards.

The most expensive are $18'000 a seat and that's not even the front row, but 6 rows back!

How heck can you see anything in that stadium. It's ridiculous

I've camped overnight for tickets a few times😆 I won't be doing it this year because camping while pregnant doesn't sound fun, but I've always really enjoyed it. There always used to be loads of campers who'd come from abroad specifically to see Federer so now he's retired it's not as hard to get tickets on the day for a show court but you have to turn up really early still. Ground passes are easier to get on the day and you can always check out the buy back booth once in there to see whether it's worth getting on to Centre or court one.
