With Gio I think it could be true that whilst some of his partners got on with him that they also recognise that perhaps his teaching method can be very tough and wouldn’t suit everyone, so maybe why they don’t want to comment. I have said before Michelle V summed it up with he is tough but that is what she needed and that style isn’t for her everyone. A good teacher on a 1-2-1 basis will adapt their style to get the best from their pupil.
I liked Gio and saw a couple of his shows until the way he came across with Ritchie, the comment about it didn’t matter about not being in the dances because no one cares about them, which to me even as a joke is disrespectful towards all the choreographers that work on the routines, then last year his mardy attitude towards Vito and then to top it off reading that he called Krishnan sh!t - again meant to be a joke but at least have some respect for people who are completely out of their comfort zone. Decent celebs are not going to want to go on strictly if pros are shouty and disrespectful about them even if it is sold as a joke. Since winning with Rose he comes across as Strictly is beneath him and that they owe him a favour for staying in the show.

Spot on. Debbie is the only one who drools over him and has actually defended him. I think Rose, Faye, Georgia and Michelle got on with him ok, but acknowledge that his teaching style doesn't suit everyone. To be fair I don't think there are any pros (bar the ones who've only had 2/3 partners) that haven't clashed with at least one celeb, but 3/9 confirmed and probably another 2 is a lot. I used to really like him, but he's been up himself ever since his win with Rose. Shame really, he could've been Pasha-esque in my opinion, his choreography is really lovely.

They seem expert at getting the most out of all their celeb friendships, it’s quite the masterclass ( plus Aljaz is such a sweetheart, I can’t imagine him falling out with any of his partners).
 
Janette is doing the weakest link with Richie Anderson, Louisa Lytton and Seann Walsh. As well as Christine McGuinness, David Potts, Scarlett Moffatt and Babatunde Aleshe. I saw Scarlett Moffatt being suggested for Strictly 2024 a few weeks ago. Hope Christine McGuinness doesn't get suggested!

God the Gio fans are out of control on SM. So many comments all over the place delighted he’s coming back, slagging his ex partners etc.

This one made me laugh though. Poor Vito.🐍

Oh that's great news knew he would win cos he has done nothing wrong he does a great job so in future if ur partnered with giovanni remember he is strict he is a perfectionist but he will look after his partner and wouldn't ask u to do something that he thinks u can't do only what he knows u can do have faith in him .....
And Vito I would never ever vote for u ever again after what u have done ur not giovanni friend glad u don't follow him anymore he doesn't want any snakes on his side he wants love and good ppl only so u stay on the lovers side were u belong I really don't like u being a snake ... giovanni hope ur partner want u and picks u so u can be our winner again I definitely will be voting for u first, nikita, Carlos,and graz love to u all 🫂💋🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I think it's the unfollow (even though it was probably Gio who did it!).

Honestly, I would absolutely love it if FR didn't get a partner and his fans were left to froth with inarticulate rage.

Carlos and Gio do not seem to vibe AT ALL. I don't think I've ever seen them interact

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but has anyone heard about this rumoured married couple for the next series? Do you think it could be Jamie Laing and his wife Sophie?
wasn’t he signed up one year but couldn’t do it as he broke his leg?

He injured himself in the opening show but then came back the following year and got to the final.
