I would really miss it if they cancelled it this year, I look forward to it all year, but there's a big dampener on it now. I hate to think of women being abused on the show. I think they should take a year off and dedicate that time to revamping their procedures/training etc to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
 
Some tea spilled in the DM article is that in 20 years on air, the BBC has never had any procedures in place to test whether or not the celebs are physically and mentally capable of doing the show - other shows do have this. Whilst this has little to do with Zara, it again shows the outright negligence behind the scenes.

Explains why they keep booking celebs with heart conditions then!
 
Well, I’m glad Graz has been sacked, and I can only assume no one saw the footage and Zara didn’t speak up for this to happen now (I’m probably being naive there) rather than at the time. I wonder if Vick Hope got similar treatment? I don’t think Graz would have even dared try this tit on Judi or Kym. Nasty man.

And I’ve always believed Amanda for what it’s worth. But I hope all this puts a rocket up the pro dancers to stop being such pricks (and Shirley)

Vick hope came forward at the time and said it was a language barrier that restricted there training
 
God, how awful. I hope Zara is ok and has friends supporting her. I doubt it will impact the show much considering most viewers are 40+ who have been calling the whole situation “woke” and calling Zara a snowflake 🙄 They don’t care about any potential abuse if the male is attractive. They will definitely have to be careful and make sure everything is filmed and documented going forward though. The general strictly crowd are easy to please, bring back Pasha and they will have forgotten all about Graziano within 5 minutes.
 
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was an element of coercive control to all of this- it would explain why Zara didn’t raise it herself and why she continued to be in contact with him following the show. Really sad all round. Strictly has always felt like such a wholesome family show (extra curricular affairs notwithstanding 🤣) and the idea of a contestant being kicked, hit and spat at by her partner has really darkened it for me. Horrible.
