Last year was a weirdly intense bunch - I'd say only Nikita & Johannes had a relatively easy time with their celebs. Dianne seemed to get on with Tyler nicely and he didn't seem to have much baggage but even he had a nightmare schedule. I suppose Kai didn't have much time with Kaye and can barely remember James & Amy now. All 10 others I think had some trouble along the way, including the finalists.

oooo even mollie and carlos? they always seemed to have a nice vibe to me.

with you on the others though! it was a very strange year vibes wise. everything was a little off. and you know that karen probably likes to pretend it didn’t happen at all 🤣

She spent the whole of the last week either rolling her eyes or snortling about his biggest ever prop in the whole world ever. That turned out to be the bannister section of a B&Q and fake flowers from The Range. She was over it by then.

Molly and Carlo and Fleur and Vito were super close but it must have been hard for the pros picking the girls up after all the dance-offs while trying to find their own feet. But it seemed to really bond them. Helen and Gorka were also close but she was clearly struggling at times, but it seemed he was good at keeping her grounded.

And she hasn’t exactly been hovering around him like a lovesick schoolgirl since the contractual obligations requiring a degree of proximity expired.

i’ve never forgotten their leaving interview (both live and on ITT) where they both reacted like they’d just lost the hunger games and so now needed to face death.

agree that fleur and vito seemed to genuinely get along and i think still see each other now(?) - it was an odd year though.

i know a lot of us were saying here that he probably should have waited a year as he didn’t seem in the right headspace to do it but i also feel like he’s just like that.

Excellent description!
Poor Nancy bawled crying on the night. I think they were a good partnership from a work perspective but my goodness, the intensity was off the charts.

Daddy was FIIIIIIIIIIIINE though 🤣

i think they were an amazing pairing for an actual competition but both of them seemed to forget that they were on a light entertainment show where 98% of the audience are around two bottles of prosecco in before it starts.

all that being said, all of my main memories from last year involve will so he did something right 🤣

Chris Ramsay just never gave in the the sob story performative bollocks of it all. His "sob story" was some bollocky thing that wasn't a sob story wasn't it?

It was that he once had a spot, used some Clearasil and it went away. The end.

It was about the time he got spots at school, but then a dab of Clearasil sorted it out and he got on with his life. Then he danced to ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’ 😁

As a fellow north-easterner, that whole thing gave me life. If only he could have worked a Greggs steak bake into the routine somehow.

That should've been his sob story - the time he went to Gregg's and they were out of Steak Bakes. Or the time he got one and it was stone cold. Or they were fresh out the oven and he burnt his mouth, how no matter what you order, when you order it in Greggs, it will never be the perfect temperature. 😆


My sob story will always be the time the Chinese forgot to put the Prawn Crackers in with the takeaway.
