Yes, I remember that too.

Plus they could do with being a bit more specific about what they are saying needs to be improved.
Anton and Motsi often say an awful lot without giving anything specific in their feedback for the couple to work on.

The other thing about Will and the cape was that he obviously thought it had gone well. 😁

motsi very often just goes into: dancing! there you were, dancing! i liked your groove i liked the vibe you were on ffffiiirreee. you could work a little bit on that thing you know what i’m talking about i saw it *wink to the contestant* but you sure were DANCING! we all saw you gggiiirrrll. keep doing your thhhiinngg! *audience applause*

like, what are they supposed to do with that 🤣

I don’t have an opinion on Giovanna one way or the other (I’ve never actually seen her in anything), but I really felt for her. Regardless of what did it didn’t happen, Tom & Amy made a very public fool of her, and she didn’t deserve that.

Forgive me I can’t figure out how to quote from old threads but someone said this last year and I think it sums her comments up perfectly

“I never understand Motsi's feedback, it's always just nonsensical cliches. You go, girl kinda thing.

Anton last series definitely amped up the nonsense too, as if trying to be the bruno character. Thought he was good when he guest judged that first year. By blackpool it was all “way hey yee haw up she goes hi yah spin her around woo hoo sha la la la ding dong oopsie daisy freeze”.

Shirley’s little shoes were cracked but at least the principle was there.

Craig imo is always the best at constructive criticism albeit sometimes too harsh, but I suppose thats the character

Yes, and then Anton does the 'I gotta tell you, woo hoo and wey hey and I remember throwing Anne Widdecombe across the floor just there'.
When he puts his mind to it, he can give good specific feedback but he does a good bit of 'wey hey and woo hoo.'

Having said all that - I can't wait 🕺💃🥿🩰😁
 
I am always torn this time of year as I am glad Strictly is back soon but it means the winter is coming and I my body doesn't do cold weather but I do love being cosy under the duvet waiting for the spoilers to come in. So who is the one who can dance and not expect to and who sadly has no rhythm/ movement but was expect to smash it?
 
I think it’s mostly forgotten now given there was probably overlap with Kai but I do think Nadiya had some very intense feelings for Dan Walker. I’ll never forget their It Takes Two exit interview where she practically said he changed her life and there was palpable tension between them. Utterly bizarre series.

I think Dan was a kind of Priest figure for Nadiya … I think she was going through stuff with her then partner and he was someone she could off load to and trust … a sort of safe figure.
 
I remember Motsi saying something to Rhys that was truly incomprehensible, I think it was after his jive. I listened to it like four times and it straight up was just not an actual sentence. Something about how he was standing on his feet and he just had to reach for the stars, with a random German word thrown in for good measure. :ROFLMAO:

Also proper shocked, I didn't get anything other than friendly vibes, guess my powers of observation are sorely lacking, lol. Feel for Johannes, and Paul, having to deal with that situation.

Always wavered back and forth a bit on whether I like John or not, that's tipped me a bit more towards dislike. Wishing him all the best with his sobriety and getting his ADHD treated, also wishing he'll STFU for a bit :ROFLMAO:

I think I remember that with Rhys 🤣.

She also praised Jayde one night for basically getting up off the floor. That was more or less all she gave her as feedback. Well probably with lots of extra words thrown in but that was it!

Haven’t you noted his behaviour since? He is utterly obsessed. I don’t know how his wife copes with it.
 
Gio and Anton spotted filming in Benidorm (Gio in double-breasted hideous green obv -it's 30 degrees there). Given that he was papped at rehearsals on Friday I was puzzled, but LadyLav clearly has access to his schedule and says he flew in and out for a day (?). So does that mean he's not going to be in the pro dances and just flew in for the celeb speed dating bit? I guess with his possibly still injured ankle he may have been given time off..
