i think they were an amazing pairing for an actual competition but both of them seemed to forget that they were on a light entertainment show where 98% of the audience are around two bottles of prosecco in before it starts.

all that being said, all of my main memories from last year involve will so he did something right 🤣
Yes, that's true and I wonder if looking back, he ever wished he hadn't taken it all quite so much to heart. I do think he wanted to give it everything he had, and no better woman than Nancy to make sure that he did. 😁

He definitely entertained me a lot, albeit unintentionally, at times, on his part.

The cape as a finale was too funny but I did feel a bit sorry for him too. Shirley had absolutely drooled over him at the start and then chose that night to go the opposite way, completely, in terms of her comments.

It’s how Strictly rolls, though isn’t it. It always has.
They will praise the lower/middle table disproportionately until the bottom of the table creeps upwards … when all of a sudden someone who has been soft soaped suddenly finds Shirley is getting her Creepy Shoes of Doom out and Anton is blithering about head position that should have been mentioned weeks before.
Basically, it was his time to be bussed 🚎

That's true.
I remember thinking on the night that Shirl produced the creepy shoes, that I wished she had made points like that - with or without the shoes - in previous weeks.

Always irritates me. I remember them giving feedback to Rhys in the first few weeks like he was the second bloody coming and then BOOM around week 4 they start slating issues that were present from the start. I 'understand' why they do it but I can't see it as very helpful for the actual celeb, particularly if they have a substantial ego. I'm looking at you Will.

I definitely think Gio was giving Debbie some extra attention.
Giovanna Fletcher strikes me as quite smart in involving herself as much as she did to prevent such situations.
Ellie T has referred to Johannes as her boyfriend ever since strictly and regularly posts amusing Instagram stories about him ignoring her etc 🤣 she clearly had a brilliant time and I’m glad for him that he got a lovely stress free season too.
