No you explained perfectly. I'm surprised at Dianne filming herself before the show writing a card to her dad and drawing a picture of her and Bobby winning. Bit icky.

Oh I skipped over all of that - and the feedback as well. I'm glad I didn't see it.

I saw Shirl with the balled up tissues in front of her, as had been predicted in the previous thread 'like she had been in a snowball fight' (can't remember who said it 😁) and I hit the fast forward button yet again.

My lips are sealed - the person in question let a few things slip to our mutual friend about things on the show (nothing majorly scandalous, just stuff like someone who was being pimped with the ‘never danced before’ storyline but had in fact had an intensive course of lessons as soon as they sighed up for the show [which is only sensible, IMO; I’d do exactly the same!]), but then they panicked that they’d been a bit indiscrete and might get into trouble if things got traced back to them.
They were (and still are) a BBC employee so I don’t want to give anything away that might identify them.

obviously as a dad he said well done but you could tell Jeff knows Bobby is disconnected and needs help that dance was way to on the nose, almost depressing to me .

That hurt a bit to watch actually... I can see Bobby looking back at this in years to come when he's processed things more and being pissed off that the shows producers manipulated him so clearly!
 
I think I’m a minority that is enjoying this series far more than last years and the last few years. I really like the cast whereas last year I didn’t connect with anyone and found Hamza and Helen, the two front runners, bland and boring. I guess it just shows how it’s impossible to please everyone as I know so many loved them both 😂

From my vantage point in the loo, with no sound, I thought it was amazing. Nikitas, frankly DREADFUL outfit did draw focus though.
 
I know people find Annabelle boring but I would rather see her go through now than Layton. I think we've seen everything Layton has to offer and he keeps getting the same critique with the ballroom whereas Annabelle's recently come into her own and clearly still has a journey to continue. I'm more interested in what she has left to give than seeing more of the same from Layton tbh
 
I don't dislike any of the contestants on a personal level, there are some that I don't enjoy their dancing as much. I wonder what it would be like with non celebrities? I like the show from the point of view they are learning something as apposed to reality shows where they just sit about talking rubbish or kissing each other.
 
I know this is going to sound silly to many people but those few minutes of re watching Katya and Nigel's rumba honestly make me feel like just in that moment with the two of them there's still a bit of goodness in life
At the very end where he holds her he just dances with his eyes completely closed and it feels so beautiful to me i could cry everytime I see it 😢

it was a beautiful dance and his arms were absolutely gorgeous in it (i also rewatched it this morning). one of the better male rumbas we’ve seen imo.

Yeah, I'm enjoying it too. I liked Hamza a lot as a person last year, but he basically won it in week 4 and none of his subsequent dances really had the same impact.

these are my feelings too. seeing him struggle to
articulate what he actually wanted to say (or, i guess, what the show wanted him to say) was rough - as was the complete difference when he started talking about jeff and his brother. i thought at the start of the week that he’d very much been pushed into this, and i still feel that now having watched it. i hope he is able to breakdown his feelings about it eventually.

i know we feel often that the CC manipulates us, the viewers, but it’s the first time that i sorta felt like the contestant was being led too, and i didn’t care for it.

That wasn't on the show last night, it was in a youtube video that Dianne uploaded on Friday night. Tbf, she filmed the bit with the card around Halloween time but obviously hasn't had the time to edit and upload any videos. She did add a bit onto the end of the video that she filmed on Friday saying that she would like to get to the final for her Dad.
