I think that was the first AS Nikita has ever done, someone on DS said? There was maybe a bit too much in it - something smoother and more classic might have worked better. And the outfits didn't help - Nikita's Pussy Bow of Doom!

Is it now sadly inevitable that Annabel is in the final?

Even good Christian man Dan Walker was thirsting over Ellie and Vito!

Considering in his ITT interview he said he Dianne was playing the woman in his life, his mother he guessed and that he didn't know the story I'd say not a lot.

Agree. When Nikita said on ITT I'm chucking everything but the kitchen sink at it, I was like noooooo. I would ❤️ to see a classic waltz from the two of them in tails for Nikita and whatever the hell Layton wants to wear,full on dress, if he wants.

I liked how he brought it back to how lucky he actually is 🩷 I thought he came across quite well, but I was a sobbing mess,
when he said how he doesn't have many memories etc. but that one of his earliest was looking up at her and thinking she was a superhero just made me bawl, I'm really ill at the moment and my children are the same ages as him and his brother were when he lost his mum. One of my girls just loves superheroes 💔 it just sent me over and I had been fine prior to that. I didn't think the dance was amazing but I thought it was quite sweet and I thought he approached it very well and was so complementary to Dianne

Damn the show was too short!

Layton- disappointed with the dance, Nikita's choreo failed him and Layton was spikey. The outfits were ghastly, I'm sure near the end Layton tripped in the trousers and diguised it as a jump.

Annabel - fab dancing - i think shes wonderful. Didnt like the run to Johannes bit. Her dress was ghastly too, those trumpety sleeves were a hindrance.

Nigel - rumba was great and as expected the judges were nice this week to him. He sadly lacked the hips and I hate that song (and what happened to Katyas bottom, it appeared from nowhere and it was a bit distracting!)

Angela - oh dear, I was cringing

Bobby - wish I didn't have to see his botox/fakey dad (something about him 🤔). Felt Bobby was forced into mentioning his mum, the BBC made him to do this CC (even the shadow teddy bear nonsense) but he handled it well, he Limited the part quickly in the VT and moved it onto him and his dad and life. I was impressed with the dance, I hate contemporary especially barefoot contemporary! But the choreography was good and he danced that style well.

Ellie - deserved 40, was sublime. The VT actually made me giggle.

Morning everyone
Just a little check in to clarify something from last night.

So minutes before the show started my lovely Auntie turned up unexpectedly to announce that we wouldn't be seeing her this Christmas
She had bought with her my pressie hamper filled with fancy goodies and in it was also a bottle of prosecco
Im not a big drinker but was like oh sod it shall we have a glass now and watch strictly (my son now stays his dad's at weekends so I was glad of the company 🙁) anyway after she left I had the opened bottle there and thought why not.

I then came on here singing/shouting baby baby and what not and rambling on about Nigel feeling us all up and some such drunken nonsense after that rumba and I think a few posters thought it was sick because they put a 🤢 so if my post offended any of you lovely lot then of course I am truly sorry, I was very very drunk at the time 🤦
(I also reeked havoc on another thread aswell but they deserved it lol)
 
Random thoughts on rewatching - Layton’s trouser hems looked like a Wardrobe hemmed 5 minutes before you go on special.
same with Katya’s dress - let’s just pin these pleats round the back to give you a bum shelf to rival Brendan’s.
Annabel hurtling towards JoJo polka dots swishing was hilarious.
still can’t watch Ellie doing her chair cycling aerobics without laughing.
Same with Bobby stood with Diane-in-heaven on his shoulder watching a shadow puppet show.

(You know you’re not really who Strictly is aiming for when …)
