i love Layton so im happy hes through but im really disappointed Angela didnt get to a Riverdance CC

Hopefully Bobby will be out next week

It looks pretty much like Ellie is the nailed on winner but I keep forgetting shes there. I know there are lots and lots of Vito fans here but as a couple they're just not memorable
 
Absolutely GUTTED that Layton is in the bottom two, although I knew it was going to happen tonight. He just doesn't have the public support, which makes me really sad. There's the people who don't like him because 'he's a professional' and there's the people who don't like him because he's a loud and proud, flamboyant, unapologetically gay POC. (And some because he's both).

Relieved that the majority of judges saved him tonight. I know this is going to sound REALLY pathetic but I've been going through a really tough time lately (I just lost my Dad, my mental health has been.... let's say not so good and leave it at that as I don't want to bring the vibe down) but watching team Lakita every week and going on their social media has brought me a genuine glimmer of joy. I'm not sure what I'll do when that ends.

Sending you much love Fanny. It doesn’t sound pathetic at all. I can identify with that. I’ve been having a tough time too lately and they have brightened up my days so much too ❤

Thank you and big love to you Boogs. You are a very sweet, kind person. It has been lovely sharing the Strictly experience with all the lovely people on this board this year, and with people who understand that it's OK to get a bit over invested in your favourite celeb, it's OK to lust after your favourite pro 😝 and it's OK to affectionately take the mick out of the ones you don't enjoy just as much. This probably didn't really need to be a Spoiler but doing it for safety.

If I was actually dancing on Strictly I'd still prefer to be partnered with Nikita/Vito/Carlos over Neil.

As much as I think Neil is nice and hot, those three are still hotter and nicer. I'd totally still shag Neil, but I don't love him as much as the other three. It's just fun winding you all up with my lustful Daddy Neil thoughts. 😆😆

I'm in the same boat - I lost my dad the day before strictly started and having Nigel to obsess over has been a welcome distraction. It's what we need sometimes and to me, him and Katya have brought joy when I was desperate for it.

Its a shame Layton was in the dance off but I said from the start he might not be as popular as some of the others. I saw him in Jamie and met him at the stage door - he was absolutely lovely, but I wondered if he'd pull in the votes or not.

Same. I lost my mum earlier this year and watching Strictly/lusting after Vito/slagging off Fanny Rat and asking if Anton is on crack etc have given me lots of pleasure, especially as we approach Christmas (first one without her). Long may it last ❤️
 
This is exactly the same point Ashley Roberts started hitting the dance off, and L&N’s dance didn’t really come together as a coherent ‘piece’ (for me, anyway), plus the only other contestant to hit the DO so far had the safety net of a wafty ‘dead relative’ CC, so this was sadly inevitable.
Hopefully Knobby gets a tit dance next week 🤞
 
I know we all roll our eyes at certain parts of Strictly - and isn’t that part of the fun, really? - but there’s something special about the way a glittery dance show can manage to brighten up the autumn and winter especially for those who need a little bit of extra sparkle right now, whether that sparkle comes from lusting after a certain pro/celeb or rooting for a particular couple (or just the reflection off some of the pros’ dodgy veneers). I know Strictly has been that for me at certain times in my life and I’m so glad the show - and this thread - can bring some of you that joy now when you need it most ❤

Definitely!! I'm going through some major shite at the moment and Strictly and I'm a Celeb give me something to look forward too! I can watch and forget about my troubles for an hr or so!! 🩷🩷
