I think he thinks he's a real 'character'. But the joke has gone too far now tbh. A bit like the Stephen Mulherne role on Ant and Dec's Takeaway. Very slightly amusing to start with but then hammers you over the head with it ' ha ha look I can take a joke at my own expense ha ha'.
 
I like Layton and think he is a good dancer but his CC didn’t wow me. I could totally see what Craig meant, L&N weren’t in sync at times. I also found the costuming weird - the stompy boots and bin bag trousers? Styling, choreography and song didn’t really go with the VT either.
Really liked Angela S and Carlos, and she is normally a ‘take it or leave it’ for me.

He’s definitely aloof. Other pros chatting to the audience and generally mucking about before their group dances but he seems to chat to very few, mainly Gorka. Wasn’t really one for the theory of a rift between him and Vito. Now I’m fairly convinced. His fragrance Eau de Fanny Rat got a plug from the stand up guy. Polite smattering of applause at most. Ardiuana (can’t remember his exact name I’m very sleep deprived!) got a shout out for choreographing Rose and Gios couple choice. His ears pricked up when he thought he was getting a mention 😂 Didn’t stand out in the group dances either. Think he’s hard work. Will perhaps stay to get more BBC work but disengaged I’d say.
 
I’m procrastinating so have watched the show again.

Bobby - He’s not a bad dancer but he’s also not a great one. I feel he hasn’t really made any progress at all and has been consistently over scored. I think he deserved to stay in over the people who have left but I feel that his time is up. I reserve the right to change my mind and give him all my votes if he does that CC to the Postcode lottery tune with a saucepan on his head.

The Rippon - I get that it was nice that she got to Blackpool due to the nostalgia but I’m still salty that it was at the expense of the lovely Krishnan who would have been delighted to be there rather than feeling entitled like she did. She needs to go now, I felt bad for her in the group dance as there was no way she could keep up. This stage of the competition needs to be for contenders.

Layton - Last week I said I thought his CC was going to be camp, flamboyant and full of tricks. Lots of people wouldn’t like it but they won’t like him whatever he does. Why should he change who he is and conform when he has the chance to throw it all out there? I think Nikita adores Layton and he was going to celebrate who he is.
I think that is pretty much what happened although it was sexy rather than camp.
I firmly believe they should have got 4 tens last week and I understand Nikitas frustration as his CC with Tilly got 40 and that was an inferior dance with an inferior partner. I would like to see them do something slower and more romantic/ sensual now to demonstrate how far Layton has come as a performer. I think they should do a slower dance to Ur so pretty by the Wasia project because I think it’s a truly beautiful song and would appeal to Heartstopper fans.
I don’t think they will win as people will vote against them but they are my winners and I hope they go all the way so we can see every dance. As well as being hot as hell Nikita is a brilliant choreographer and teacher and he deserves to get the recognition he is craving.

Annabelle - She is very elegant and her emotions are close to the surface due to her recent bereavement so dances like last night played to her strengths. She is too stiff for Latin though and I think Jojo is going to be an emotional wreck by the end of this. I would like her to go after Bobby and The Rippon as I think she won’t improve any more and I would like Johannes to avoid a complete breakdown.

Ellie - I think she has been good from the start and it’s been lovely to watch her confidence grow week by week. I really didn’t enjoy the routine last night. There were impressive lifts in it but it fell flat as a Charleston for me. I think she should definitely make it to the final and as I don’t think Layton will win she is my 2nd choice.

Angela S - The last few weeks I’ve felt as if she has upped her game but it was only last night I felt she had an emotional connection with the dance. I think out of the top contenders she is the weakest but I wouldn’t be unhappy for her to make the final. Carlos is a gem and next year I would like to see him get a partner who compliments him and allows him to showcase his talents the way Layton has with Nikita.

Nigel - Every week I think this is going to be the week when he wows everyone and every week it falls flat. Currently for me he would be in 4th place behind Angela S which I didn’t think I would say before. I think his best dances were his Paso and Salsa but not sure which of his leftover dances can go with the sexy vibe they had. I also think his confidence and self-esteem are low so it would be a Herculean task for him to pull it out of the bag now. I know he is popular though so will make the final and has a real chance of winning.

I'm sure he doesn't realise he is giving the sexy vibe, although he so is.

Or the instinct for us, whatever age, to want to either mother him, want to dance in his arms like Katya, or something else past watershed. 😁 Sorry Lucy, your husband is a bit of a sex bomb, you lucky lady.

Just typed loads up and it disappeared! Dianne and Bobby hardly speak compared to other couples. I know she has stuff going on behind the scenes but she seemed okay with other people.
Nikita thrusting his crotch a few feet away from me during the Harry Styles medley was a moment. Mesmerising when you see him live. Vito not so hot as I thought. Aimee Fuller trying to gatecrash the blokes loos when there was a queue for the ladies. Fleur and her husband walking casually around looking incredible. She always had a coat or leg in front of her tummy so couldn’t investigate bump!
Nigel really didn’t deserve that criticism compared to others. Didn’t need all 4 of them repeating the negative when there was so much to admire about it. Katya is stunning up close. Claudia is so nervous before she goes on. Was pretending to vomit just before she went live. Hysterical off camera too. Tess comes across so warm and not robotic. Weird
Nikita’s girlfriend is giving off fame hungry wannabe vibes sat next to Zara constantly taking selfies. Don’t know if she is an influencer?

Nigels dance took the roof off in the night. They covered every inch of that floor and flew round. Not surprised he looked so down after a kicking from the judges

I didn't watch Bobby and Dianne's actual dance but I kept noticing him watch the others during the group dance to see what came next. Its was quite distracting.
